May I ask you what method you used to make the line sharp and smooth on the final image.
Most of mine, is like the third image(going from top to bottom) of yours.
I used photoshop for the sketch and coloring mainly--except the second which was a quick watercolor in SAI--to be honest I spent hours... lol I went on and off with it kind of over the course of 3-4 days, some not really doing much about it
Not that I know of--I don't see a problem with using a higher stability setting. I'd just recommend using as much as you need to get the lines you want to see--I'm comfortable with 15, the S-#--I feel--get very sluggish.
