have you played the Xenosaga franchise?

As I've explained not long ago, I have played the first two, but ruined the third. The second had audio problems, the third didn't work and I later watched the major scenes to see if it was worth playing. I have the games and the music, even the anime. I even have a video with every movie scene.

I heard xenogears was great, so I'd play that and other things once I get some new things~

@Ushio- Well do you like strategy games? If so i'd recomend Fire Emblem and Disgaea.
And one of my favorite RPGs of all time Persona 3 FES.
Oh and the best DS game IMO : The World Ends With You.

a game for xbox 360 and ps3 it had 2 diff versions 1 for jap and the other for here in the jap one the main char was a teenage boy trying to save his imouto in the one here its a father trying to save his daughter

I'm not wanting games that I'm familiar with or that can be predictable. I also don't like grinding unless I like the game enough (such as star ocean's special dungeons or later bosses).

The best thing I'm into right now is anime, and talking to people. I also occasionally look for music.
With the way certain battle systems work, it can completely ruin the game for me. Final fantasy is one of them. I've played maybe 60% of XIII, and got tired of it because of the familiar grinding, huge fields, and scarce story with too many side quests. (really.. if they have enough time to add side quests, they should either make them worth it or make the actual story better).

I've tried fire emblem, kinda, but it doesn't interest me enough. I'm going to try Ar Tonelico the Alchemist of Irland series sometime. I might just watch wtv I can if I feel like it. I watched ToG and was able to skip the grinding after all :p

Grinding :/ Hmm... could try going through it all just searching for secrets and have grinding as an outcome... usually what happens when i run everywhere in those games :/

iv played to many grinding games..is all i mean its what makes you wana play the game more but there are only certain games i can grind

The problem with grinding is that it takes too long to get to the level that you want, and you see the same things too often. This is the main reason why I stopped playing lots of online games. Either because of grinding, or fetch quests. It doesn't matter how great the art and music is, the battle system alone can make or break the game.
