I am trying to be objective here, commenting on writing quality.

Not trying to defend or what, but Yuu actually did show a lot of diff qualities compare to other cookie cutter imoutos (main route Yuu, not after the SUBTLE route). Thats why she stand out from the other chars and shows a lot of promise early (even green guy agrees that Yuu is the most stand out char of koikishi), until the route hits and becomes so derp..............

So yea, blame the SUGOI WRITING, hate on her and grouping her with other imoutos (which she actually isn't before route) seem pointless.

eh, well, for one, i will agree she was probably the stand-out chara in the beginning, and yes, writing was half-assed...
hate on imoutos sound pretty pointless now, considering how popular they are in their own country, oh well~ :)
