Levels of Yandere that you can accept

( ̄y▽ ̄)╭ Ohohoho..... As a yandere lover I can accept anything. LITERALLY! Only thing I cant accept is cheating but I ve never seen a yandere who cheats. It goes against their nature.

Personally, I can only tolerate yandere up to the "has a GPS tracker on me" level. 😂 A little clinginess is fine, but anything beyond that and I can start feeling uncomfortable with the character, even though they're fictional.

That said, as a viewer, I actually find extreme yandere behavior pretty entertaining in fiction. Seeing the heroine being loved and obsessed over to that degree can be fascinating, and honestly, a little enviable too. There's something fun about watching someone love the heroine THAT much when you're safely sitting outside the situation.

But if I were actually in the heroine's position? Absolutely not. Put me in a cage and I'm already gone.

I think it's probably because I really value my freedom. I can enjoy possessiveness and obsession as a fictional fantasy, but I don't want that kind of love in real life. For me, there's a very clear line between "I love you so much that I'm obsessed with you" and "you no longer have a life outside of me."

I would love kind and obsessive type! And show their real ones to people who hurt female lead. I love how yandere use kindness as a posion to trick female lead. I am weak how they sweet to female lead and protective. I do not like yandere the become obsessive from afraid to lose instead of out of love. I want yandere that fall in love with female lead purely. Since I do not like yandere guy with heavy traumatic momments. I do not like fixing a guy! Its their responsibility to free from past. Anyway, i want male lead to be strong and protective because of love and become posion a bit.

Oh god anything but torture and physical abuse.. you're telling me the LI find it hot when he breaks the mc's legs? no please that is where i draw the line. But at the same time im fine with drugging, mental abuse and being chained up lol so i have no right to judge, physical torture is just not for me.

Honestly, I'm the exact opposite! I don't like crazy yandere characters that cross into violent or gruesome territory, I completely lose interest, no matter how "compelling" their writing is supposed to be. I actually prefer when characters just show mild jealousy or possessiveness (¬_¬)

I love All kind of yandere Characters! except Cheaters because to me they can't even be classified as yanderes. I like a bit less the physical torture. But I absolutely love when the Yandere is double face, acting all sweet and innocent but is in truth the most creepy guy out there and unhinged. I truly love when The MC discovers ML isn't the man she trusted. Also love childhood friend yanderes (Toma I'm talking about you!)

I'm okay with everything because to me a yandere is a boy who's completely consumed by his love for the heroine and sees her as an extension of him if that makes sense 🤭 I like the vindictive type personally tbh though there's also the sweet doting ones

Since Yandere has become more popular I feel like the word is so misunderstood now. People only see the more extreme ones or use it for characters that not actually Yandere. I like the more repressed Yandere that don't actually seem like ones like Crius from Even if tempest, Jinshi. I don't think I can tolerate being in a cage though😂
I think being in a yandere situation would be so scary in real life but Your Stalker Jayce Blackwood for example. He is obsessed with you but instead of bothering you he tries to fit into the image you would like and helps you when you are not aware. That kind of yandere is cute. But the one who is overly jealous and cages you is not that cute to me hahaha

I like all kind yandere troupe, stalker, obsessiveness, devotion, gaslight, brainwash and i dont even mind the caging/chain/confinement thing as long as they can be together lol.

I also like yandere who manipulates situation when he pretends to protect you from danger (like from a thug or stalker) but its actually something he orchestrated behind the scene so you fall for him/depend on him for being your "hero", without realizing that he's actually the bad news for you until much much later :giggle:

but i cant stand cannibalism or cutting bodypart, thats a no no :alice_nay:

I've actually read a yandere (adjacent?) guy who cheated and his justification was that he didn't see people other than the main character as human beings and therefore saw what he did as masturbating LMAO. I didn't enjoy his character (more so because he felt like a more unlikable rehash of another characer from the author's previous work) (also did worse things later on) but I'll admit I kind of enjoyed the twist because it hammered it down that yeah this unwell guy is actually unwell.

I think if it's made clear they actually love/care about the MC in a way that makes sense and is profound (like beyond something generic/superficial like physical attraction) then I'm pretty open to most things...I think more realistic depictions of domestic abuse or fits of anger is where I do get a little squeamish.

Also expecting MC to worship them and not the other way around. Get humbled!!! It's okay if they alternate between arrogance and insecurity/self hatred though 👍

Recently, I played Folie Fatale, where one of the LIs is a yandere connected to mc's past life. I feel like he's on a whole different level of yandere, his obsession is mixed with overwhelming yearning and longing.

He realizes he completely messed up in his past life, which led to mc hating him (I won't spoil what he did). So he performs a ritual to fix his mistake and make sure he can meet mc again in the next life, all for the sake he can build a new happy relationship with mc and he waited so long for it to be granted.

i think its bittersweet how he desperately research, planning and conducting experiment about curse tirelessly to make his soul tied to his next live (basically to remember his own plan, cause if he reincarnate, he doesnt have memory from his past live unless he have an object to tie the curse) and he finally reach his goals to be with mc again, yes only to be with her

Finishing his route left me speechless. Most yandere character i know just kill the mc if he cant have her for himself or did double suicide and that would be the end, but this man... wow. That's a whole different level of devotion :O

I think while typing this i've found my yandere type and the second closest to him that would be Ukyo from Amnesia. If you guys know any yandere who would go this far for mc, whether it's from a manga, otome game, or otome CD I'd love to hear some recommendations, thank you!

The three levels of yandere that I can accept are:
🟢 Level 1: Soft & Overprotective (The "Doting" Yandere)
Behavior: Overly clingy, slight jealousy, tracks your location "out of concern," wants to spend 24/7 with you.
🟡 Level 2: Isolation & Possessive (The "Cage / Room" Yandere)
Behavior: Locking you in a room/cage "for your own safety," cutting off your friends, mild guilt-tripping, extreme jealousy over anyone looking at you.
🟠 Level 3: Morally Grey / Coercive (The "Manipulation" Yandere)
Behavior: Blackmail, ruinous sabotage of your personal life so you have to depend entirely on him, mild drug/sedative use to keep you resting.

If it goes beyond that, I would feel a bit uncomfortable hearing it. I also don't like scenarios involving being drugged or having life threatened.

Yeah... the truth is, I can handle any level of yandere.
I recently saw a girl say that yandere characters are polyamorous?.... WHAT?!
Anyway, the crazier the yandere, the better for me

im fine with yanderes overall tbh, just not the groomer or the ones that are too engaged in rape. i mostly prefer the overly loving.

I decided to browse the tag on VNDB and saw that they consider Suou from Ayakashi Gohan and Kuroba from Olympia Soiree as yanderes. What kind of nonsense is that?
So I'll put it this way: I'd let Yang do pretty much anything to me and forgive him for all of it

But I genuinely hate Toma, Kanato and Kuroyuki. This is one of those rare cases where I decided to skip the route entirely.
I guess if a character already looks like a walking red flag from the start, I don't mind if they turn out to be a yandere too. Bruh.

I'm quite confused by the mentions of NTR in this thread cus my mind is drawing a blank from my own media experience... But perhaps I'm too picky for my own good to even stumble upon a yandere who will willingly NTR :ROFLMAO:

But otherwise, as long as the story can justify it, I'll pretty much accept any sexy 2D man going insane!

Probably around level 2–3. I like a yandere who's possessive, jealous, and a little obsessive, but still respects boundaries. Once it gets into controlling or seriously harming others, it becomes too much for me lol
