The Xbox 360 Slim has an improved cooling system, so I doubt it will have the same problem, but I could be wrong.

Yes i heard the newer Xbox 360 fixed the problem
My cousin has a slim and has no issues with it so far

But my Xbox 360 was bought back when it was release and is useless now ~

If the system overheat to a RRoD state, there is little that can be done
And unlucky for me, my warrant on that thing ran out ages ago

From my knowledge, I think you have to heat the system to a point when it auto-reset on itself to get it running again
Then the use of more fans would help I think ~
