Eroge on Windows 8

Is it possible to play eroge on windows 8? I tried several times, but it didn't work. Maybe I'm missing something.
By the way, I got windows 8 64bit.

hmm...just installed Guilty game in windows8 64 bit...and it works fine...the patches

work well too with the help of daemon tools lite and directx..

Windows 8 works fine with the games I have... maybe you could try running your games in compatibility mode?

I actually found out that I didn't switch to Japanese regional settings (or whatever it is called). I'm very embarrassed by this and I'm very sorry for troubling you very nice people.

Although the problem is solved already, there are some eroges which aren't compatible with Windows 8 in the slightest. The good thing is, that this only applies for older ones which were developed in times of Vista. The newer ones should work fine with Windows 8.

I installed Windows 8 directly after the release and I tried over five older eroges in the first week, but just two worked on Win8 (even with compatibility mode). But since Win8 is out a year already there should be a lot less problems with the older ones as well. Some developers even released a new version of the eroge which works on Win8 or they released a patch to make it work :)
