I know the general rules about double posting in a thread. It keeps someone from spamming a thread to death, and encourages general discussion.

Once in a while, a normally active thread dies down for a bit, and tends to just sit there.

Case in point, a thread in Anime Talk that usually gets more action, hasn't been posted in since Jan 5... and that post was mine. I have something new to contribute to it, but that would, technically, be double posting, even though two months have passed. The thread is still near the top of the Anime Talk Forum (fifth from the top.)

Is there some general idea about how much time should pass before someone can post again, or must they keep waiting till someone else posts there?

BYW, the thread in question is

There is no explicit rule about double posting. The general idea is, it's at staff discretion. Unless it's not malicious or mindless, we don't have anything against it. You're welcomed to post if you have something to contribute.

Btw, Ryzen111. Do you happen to have the latest update for this? They added extra content and bug fixes to it.
