Do you prefer when the Fl has a voice actor or nah?

I've always quietly wondered about this topic for a while now. So far, all the cds ppl have been recommending don't have an fl with a voice actor. That being said, do any of you enjoy when they do?

I find that I don't really like it when they do tbh. It kind of breaks the immersion for me. Cause with regular otomes, asked questions have wiggle room for interpretation. Voiced fls… Not so much.

A common example of this would be " Hey girlfriend-chan, you look very pretty today." Only for her to say something along the lines of "kyaaa no!! Boyfriend-kun that's so embarrassing~"

Otome CDs are basically character x YOU THE LISTENER!!! YOU ARE THE MC! YOU ARE THE FL!!! THESE GUYS ARE TALKING TO YOU!! it's not that difficult to grasp the concept

for situational voice drama, a voiced heroine is a HARD NO for me. the characters are supposed to talk to ME after all, so why would i enjoy being voiced against my will? (dramatic)
though i dont think there are many situational voices like that? i recall that prince of stride cd has a voiced heroine, but its not a situational voice drama, right? so i guess its fine as is.. i still wouldnt enjoy it though, since prince of stride is an otome game, not a standalone joseimuke project with an established female protagonist. either commit to fleshing out your heroine or let me selfinsert without worry..(?)

but im very picky in general, because even when there are voiced manga, i dont like it when they have voiceover for the heroine.. even though manga voiceovers are completely different from situational voices, and joseimuke manga in general is different from danseimuke manga. but still, im not a huge fan.. but as long as its stated beforehand so that i can decide whether i spend my money on it or not, its alright..

(kinda relevant?, but i remember reading a script for a work on gwa, which is gonewildaudio, a community on r*dit where people post their porn voice works, and this script not only had lines for the voice actor to read, but also lines FOR THE HEROINE AKA THE LISTENER AKA YOU for him to "respond" to? even though the listener wasnt going to be voiced at all, so there was no need for these lines to be written?? and they were so cringy too like sorry but i would NOT say that)

A hard no to voiced FL if I cannot turn it on/off. Like, Karin's game has fully voiced FL in-game with good acting, but their situation cds have no FL voices, and their drama cds have FL voices that are well-written. In this case it make sense to me to include voices. Versus, Wand of fortune has a partially voiced FL with pretty bad acting and they added her to many cds... awkward.

NO. I have one and it's... annoying. It's so horrible that I consider to hide it from dlsiteplay lol

I'm really glad some manga that adapted into drama CDs remove the MC's voice for immersion. In otome game I prefer mc to have voice, but in drama CDs I need the mc to be voiceless.

Unless it's for otome game or anime that already had voiced FL, I generally don't like it when there is voiced FL. For me that defeats the whole purpose and I immediately lose interest if there is voice FL for drama CD.

I haven't given this much thought before, but I don't prefer it when the heroine's voice is included in otome drama CDs. it makes the speaker feel like a third party rather than "me," which breaks my immersion.

for otome games, i don't really mind whether the fl has a voice or not.
but for drama cds, i prefer the fl not to have a voice, since the voice acting can be a bit too dramatic for me sometimes, which gets a little annoying.

It depends on the stories. I am the type who read otome game like second person perspective like who watching the world. I don't put myself in the story at all. But drama cd, i would appreciate if they put second person perspective and first person perspective it will interesting. I guess I don't mind at all when FL have boice actor.

Nah, I really can't stand FL voices! It just breaks my immersion immediately. I much prefer reading her lines in my own head or having her silent completely.

I think it's better if the heroine has a voice actor. From a third-person perspective, I actually enjoy seeing the heroine's emotional reactions.(ﾉ∇︎〃 ) And if you don't like the voice acting, you can always turn it off in the settings, so it just adds another option. After all, the heroine has the most lines in the entire game, so having her voiced shows that the game was made with more care.（ '▿ ' ）

Same, i dont like it lol. Atleast for drama CDs. It doesnt help that the japanese perception of what makes an endearing female character is vastly different to how i imagine id act in that situation. Like no I do not have a high pitched voice and no i would not profusely stutter at the slightest sexual innuendo lol. It can also dangerously fall into male gazey territory which is the exact opposite of what I want since hello, this is literally otome??

When I play otome games, I mostly prefer the heroine not to be voiced, but if she's the kind of character with a strong personality, I can accept voice acting (for example, I think the heroine of Variable Barricade suits it really well
