Do you prefer owning otome games physically or digitally?

I definitely prefer physical copies in theory, especially when it comes to otome games. There's something satisfying about actually owning the game, being able to look at the cover art, put it on a shelf, and physically see your collection grow. I also think physical copies have more sentimental value, especially for games that really mean something to me.

But in practice, I've been buying almost everything digitally in recent years. The biggest reason is simply sales. Whenever I see a digital version of a game go on sale for a fraction of the price, while I remember paying full price for the physical copy, my heart hurts a little. So at some point I just went, "Yeah… digital it is."

There's also the practical side. Physical copies need to be stored and taken care of. They can get lost, scratched, damaged, exposed to water, or just deteriorate over time. Digital copies don't have those particular problems, and having my games available directly on my console is incredibly convenient.

So I'd say I'm emotionally a physical collector, but financially and practically a digital buyer. If both versions were exactly the same price, though, I'd probably still choose physical. There's just a different feeling that comes with having something tangible from a game you love.

I prefer the physical copy, but due to limited space I've been getting digital copies now. I feel with digital we are so limited and always restricted. The physical I can just pop the game into the console or handheld and be good. Also if internet sucks too then the game wont load apparently??? At least this happened to my brother recently.

Physical collectibles are more meaningful, but digital versions are more cost-effective and convenient. Right now, I lean more towards the digital version.

I think I prefer digital games! It's just more convenient for me and I don't have to worry about keeping physical copies somewhere. I also like being able to just open and play whenever I want!
But physical copies are really cute too especially when the cover art is pretty! sometimes I feel like I want to collect them just because they look so nice, haha. I can never decide when a game has really pretty artwork! For now, though, I'll probably stick with digital games. It's just easier for me! ♡

I only buy the digital versions of games, as the process of installing and storing physical copies is just too much of a hassle. That said, I do keep the artbooks and merchandise that come with deluxe editions.

I would like to get the physical copies and have a small collection someday (≧∇≦)/

Thank you very much for this really good topic (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤.

I prefer both. Each copy, either digital or physical, provides me with its own benefits.

May everyone own all types of Otome games in their perfered copies (^▽^).

I like digital because of discounts and convenience. I've moved quite a few times and having less belongings is just nice. Even though the cases themselves aren't that big, it can add up.

I would love to own physical copies, but most—if not nearly all—of them aren't released in physical format here in my country; if I want them, I have to import them, which makes them even more expensive, so I have to settle for digital versions.

Usually digital for the convenience, but if it's a title I've been dying to play or has a gorgeous Limited Edition set, I'll always go for physical (*・ω・)

I also tend to buy physical copies of the games I like. Digital versions, on the other hand, often go on sale, which is an appealing aspect.

Lately, I've been buying mostly digital versions.
It's easy to manage because I can play without inserting a game card, and I don't need any storage space.

I'd like to buy physical games, but it's nearly impossible to do where I live  And I prefer quantity over quality, so spending huge amount of money on one game when I can buy several is not an easy choice.

For me it's convenient to have it digitally. Because in here is short of storage and equipment. Want to be more efficient
