Do you prefer owning otome games physically or digitally?

In theory I would prefer physical copies especially with how often companies can simply remove the content with no legal way of preserving it. However in practice I do prefer digital partially because of convenience and partially because it is a lot more accessible to me since my country doesn't really sell a lot of physical copies, especially of otomes.

I prefer physical copies when it's a game I really really love, and digital copies for everything else.

The physical version should always be preferred, if only for the sake of preserving the medium.
However, I should add a caveat: the physical format is not eternal either, in the sense that cartridges, CDs, and the like can deteriorate over time. Therefore, it is necessary to be able to make a "digital" copy of this version and store it in multiple locations to minimize the risk of loss.

I'm definitely more of a physical collector when possible. I just like having something tangible to show for the games I buy, especially with otome since it's such a niche genre. That said, digital is sooo much more convenient, and I can't deny that sales make it tempting lol. So I guess physical for my favorites, digital for everything else

It's tough, especially seeing all the sales on the eShop, but I'm all for media preservation and just can't bring myself to buy digitally most of the time, even more so when I'm not sure if I'll like the game. I like to try them out first and spend money only when I'm sure I won't end up disappointed, and with physical release, worst case, I can always just sell them.

Swapping discs is a hassle and finding a place to store them is a pain, so I generally buy the digital versions.
