Do you prefer otome game with gameplay element or just text reading element only?

i prefer text only since i tend to play VN to relax.it feels like whiplash to have minigames in the story but thats usually because they put it at the most tense moments and i panic for no reason XD

Text based, I prefer not having a default appearance for the MC and the characters. The only exception is when the game has stylized art, I think it gives it a unique identity.

Depends on the gameplay element. I despise grinding for stats, but I don't mind minigames as long as the controls work well enough. That said, if there isn't a setting to turn the minigames off (on the days when I'm tired from work and simply want to relax), you'll lose me.

I prefer to just kick back and read a VN, but I actually like Koei's RPG elements quite a bit.
Having the way to actually move around the map make the world much easier to understand and get immersed.

I do like a little gameplay, but the most important thing that a game needs to get down first is the story. Also, LaD selling point was never its combat system. I believe because it was because of the companionship and the fact that it is the first to have 3D models.

I've never really played anything with gameplay so i guess i cant say for sure, but im mostly interested in the story and characters so im happy with just reading. I definitely treat the games more like immersive books.

I prefer visual novel-style gameplay. It's fine to include some mini-games, but they shouldn't be too difficult, otherwise it feels like the focus has shifted away from the main point.

I generally enjoy mini-games, but they need to be easy enough not to block the story's progression; otherwise, you lose the whole point of playing the otome game ^^'

If possible, I prefer otome games that consist solely of reading text.
That's because if mini-games or missions suddenly start, I get too focused on them and the story doesn't really sink in.

For me, it depends on the gameplay. For example, I don't particularly enjoy stat rising, after a while it just becomes tedious, especially if I am replaying the games to read other routes. But some minigames can be fun, and I find they don't really distract me from the story - maybe it's because I am used to playing RPGs where the story is always balanced by gameplay.

A well-integrated game is definitely more fun when it has gameplay—I'm talking about games like the Dokimemo and Neo Romance series…

Probably with gameplay elements. Otome games with a tiny gameplay element are the cherry on top of the sundae for me. My attention span is short, so I get distracted by all sorts of things while playing games that only require reading. Minigames spice things up! But a small amount would be enough, since otome games are more of a relaxing activity for me. I'd say around 20% gameplay is good.

Personally, a little gameplay element might be good enough to sort of give me a break in the middle of reading, but I also don't wish for repetitive gameplay elements since they can get really boring after a few times

I prefer some of gamplay in story. At least, it would be like catching break from reading for long. And I have to say some gamplay mechanism can help me immerse the story better, too. Like some countdown clicking point that needs to finish on time in a urgent scenario.

I LOVE an otome with gameplay, I wish there were more.
I love RPGs (Persona 3 Portable, Rune Factory 4), stat raisers (Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side, Dandelion), rhythm games (Princess Debut, UtaPri), mini games, I love it all.
I love it when an otome game makes it difficult to win over your chosen love interest, like Skye in Harvest Moon DS Cute for example.

I still love visual novels, but honestly I much prefer an otome with as much gameplay as possible :3
