ya I saw the new team bitters game...is it just me or have they never really managed to capture their early NTR glory days? Great CG without question but I haven't gotten the true feelings of "ntr" from their most recent offerings...just me?

What was the last game you consider their glory days? i have enjoyed a few but even in their older games is weird when i played all routes. Kind of liek how i love Triangle Blue but only really like Kyo's route xD

I haven't had the chance to try Raimu yet but the Senki series (Maimu, Tenmu, Shinmu before this) are all netorare games. Though arguably more of the game-over type, as they do have a vanilla common route that branches into the different bad endings. Hell, the first had the legend himself: 'Mister NTR'.
The general premise is always the same with their old school vibe, that is, normal guy protagonist gets suddenly attacked by villain, heroine falls from the sky and saves him, then transforms with protagonist's help (the armor the main heroine wears actually has the protagonist's consciousness inside of it during battle) to fight campy monster-of-the-week type baddies. Though Shinmu did move away from making them quite so silly and giving them actual bad end routes. There's always a corruption path too which is hot.
I'll definitely get around to Raimu eventually, but the synopsis is the same as all that, except now they all come from space; interestingly, the official website itself actually provides an English translation of the synopsis, read into that what you will.

I played Suzuya's most recent game (September 2024) using the MTL "translation" and the MTL quality aside - and this is a big aside as it is an abomination at times, especially for choices - this is a phenomenal game.
Title is something along the lines of "200 Years Ago, Procreation Was Something That Only People in Love Did" (Google translate), which explains the core theme, and is similar to my previous favorite game by the circle (A Story About a Stolen Lover, Cucked Wife and Swapping Sex).
Has excellent ero factor, minimal to no battle grind (buy Flame Sword by selling inherited premium sword), quick pacing, and good characters. Netorase, of course, as per the circle's is the main theme.
Seeing this developer finally break the chains of mundane battle that held back certain releases is cathartic. He also avoided the occasional traps of making the story overly serious, which masks eroticism, or having all heroines be overly promiscuous from the get-go.
Fully recommend for those who like Suzuya and Mijiishi type of titles. I'll buy it later to support the developer.

Played the recent Avantgarde game. Its a netorase game with to pretty distinct and voiced heroines. Its got a decent amount of content and the scenes and cg are all of good quality. (PC is fucked, typing on a phone, forgive the bad typing and short review, didn't talk about the new Suzuya game for the same reason, it was fine though).
Personally its easily my favorite game by this dev by a long shot but thats because it caters pretty hard to my specific kind of netorase fetish where it borders on NTR and the player is left wondering if or when its going to tip towards the latter. Even better is when its already happened and the player has yet to realize it. But thats just me. If you like your netorase to remain netorase thats also an option but i'm pretty sure you miss out on a decent bit of scenes. It has its usual trappings of heroines losing to the big dick at an unbelievable pace (it was pretty fine for me, could've used an extra event or two) and if you just don't like Avantgarde's previous writing then I wouldn't recommend it. The game itself doesn't run so well and the RPG mechanics are pretty basic, though I prefer it to the dev's VN games. Luckily there's a skip battle function you can enable like me if you only want to get to the good stuff.
Overall a 9/10 for me. If you're not into netorase as much as I am or just don't like the dev's works the its probably realistically around 5-7/10.
Also, I really like that the game spends a decent amount of time just focusing on the MC and the heroines falling in love. Admittedly, the sex scenes happen way faster than expected but there's aphrodisiac magic at play so I take what I can get. Point is, it makes the netorase later in the game much better in my eyes. One thing I don't like though is that while you can romance them both and I'm pretty sure thats the intended option, both romances act independently without the other heroine in the know. Its kinda weird going through the whole netorase early phase a second time with a different heroine. That and the heroines are both fucking the same dude, I would've liked more scenes with both heroines netorase'd at the same time. I know that it exists at the end of the game but I wanted it to be utilized more. The MC constantly gets teased by one heroine behind the other heroine's back, be it romantically or because of the netorase play. But its just kinda stupid since the MC is dating them both. Really felt like there's a lot of missed potential there that came as a result of trying to give you the option to romance each girl or not along with the option to engage in netorase with either of them. It just results in scenes that works in isolation but not really in the full context of the story. Not saying its totally a bad move by the dev though. Having pure love, netorase and NTR options all in a game is sure to help the game sell better than if it was a pure netorase so I can't fault them for that. Anyways, I rant because I like the game. Til next time.

The NTR harem ending is great but it also feels like the only ending that's actually got effort put into it. I do love the ending, but all the other endings are either too short or have no actual CG or both. The harem ending doesn't even really exist, its just a bit of postgame with no actual focus on the harem. Still a great game though, but don't play it if you're looking for a game with multiple endings. Hopefully the game gets updated with some extra content for the endings. My last gripe with the game is an extension of the lack of netorase endings. You can go to right before the breaking point with both heroines and stop before they truly get NTR'd, but doing that only boots you back to the pure love route. By that point there's only two harem scenes and neither acknowledge past netorase events. What sucks is that there is a route where these events are acknowledged and thats in the NTR route after they've both fallen. The heroines talk to each other about how they got into netorase and how much the didn't like it at first but really got into it. I really feel like a more tame version of this should have existed in a netorase route.

I am a big fan of netorase, especially netorase + impregnation.
But more the accepting happy cuck kind of fan.
Spent more than 8 hours playing Reborn Island (the new AVANTGARDE game) just to unlock the scenes for 1 character (and tbf 100% the RPG part of it, unlocking all armor etc.) and post-nut clarity got me so depressed, i can't even do the other heroine NTR route, and use the unlock all scene after the ending.
The game is really amazing for netorase fan, especially if it's netorase+impregnation. The scenes are awesome.
However the game is the DEPRESSING KIND of netorase at the end, just a warning.

On the endings, basically the heroine left the MC to be with the bull (the one you netorase'd them too), and since the game basically forces you to 100% their affection before fully netorase-ing them, getting them to 0%, the drop was so depressing, the heroine at the ending basically lost feelings for the MC and in some scene even basically kick his balls

Played enough of the Avantgarde game to conclude that it's extremely disappointing.
Since there's a 1st partner listing for most sexual acts, and I was under the mistaken impression that the chapters were all part of the actual prologue that would lead to some erotic sandbox, I ended up completing the chapters and hence entire game while waiting for the antagonist to act...
Then I replayed bits of it to build up the relationship between the heroines and watch them fall but it all felt anticlimactic. I was excited about being able to unlock uniforms, but it turns out that's super limited as well.
Not sure if I can adequately articulate my feelings of "Holy shit, this developer learned how to create an actual game!" at the start gradually turning into "Oh, right, this is an Avantgarde game". I left feeling depressed for the entirely wrong reasons.
Basically, I thought it'd be something like Dyoujin Circle Gyu!'s earlier games but it wasn't. Speaking of them...their latest game received an AI-assisted MTL from Dazed Anon. Imagine my shock to learn that the game is ~$50 on DLSite.
After the mess that was Knights of Messiah - which I bought on day 1 and waited years for the Kagura Games translation - suffice it to say, I probably won't ever buy it unless the MTL somehow overwhelms me positively. Not banking on that, of course.
Since there's a 1st partner listing for most sexual acts, and I was under the mistaken impression that the chapters were all part of the actual prologue that would lead to some erotic sandbox, I ended up completing the chapters and hence entire game while waiting for the antagonist to act...
