It never really suprises me....as sales is pretty much downed for past 2-3 years.For last 3 years they continueously giving same shit-fucking story with no improvement in graphics.Animations are not given any importance...now even some rpg games also comes with animation which definitely heightens up eroticism.They failed to comply with demand and fucked up But they really produced some iconic series like marina,mayumi....many more.Thanks A.S for all those memories.

Funny story, i have one discord fans who ask me to give me summary of AS games, One day he complained to me because he said he already heard about my summary. But i swear it's from two different games hahahaha. Their game was so similar, my friend thought i repeat the games summary.

Honestly... they probably should've switched to AI art, lol. That would've made some old fans into haters, but as long as they used high quality AI art like the western developers (like in My New Girlfriend, Mila AI, Blurring the Walls), there was a chance that they would gain their popularity among new audience.
Animations? They use very dated and probably cheap art, many RPG maker cheap games have better art, and those that also have animations probably have bigger budget than AS titles. Animations are way more expensive than art.
And while most of their titles were kind of repetitive, there were also some interesting premises here and there. The story wasn't the biggest problem, there's a big (relatively) market for repetitive, samey NTR and especially netorase, stories. The samey, dated art was the main reason why their sales staled, though. You can hate on AI all you want, but there's a reason why games like Netorase Phone have more than 100 reviews on f95 and earn their creators 5k$ on patreon monthly. If you know what you're doing, you can create much more fappable art with modern AI than whatever crap cheap artists like those working for AS can provide.

¿Un juego de NTS con una escena como Kabe no Mukou? No, jaja. Y personalmente, me encanta el segundo juego. ¡La escena del tatuaje fue genial! El tercer juego estuvo bien, pero fue demasiado corto en comparación con los otros dos juegos.

Thats not exactly what happened with the Marina, basically they wanted "more money" from Fantia by doing as little as possible. The "sequel" story on it is actually NOT canon and takes place in an alt timeline too. They've also done the same treatment for other games with alt stories on it but than they stopped.
Why? Because it was cheaper to simply cut content from games and put up patches you have to pay each month for. It got really greeedy. For the record they aren't closing shop as much as they will cease to make new games, this way they can continue to sell their library.
Back to Marina, basically Onboro preferred a "cheating" marina story - he doesn't like netorase, hes point blank told me and has talked about it elsewhere. You can see with his other games its more about hardcore NTR and the fantia story allowed him to do that, heck he even says indirectly in Marina 3 that netorase is a messed up fetish, thats wrong. Now why he left I have no clue, but he was happy to leave the company and felt like it was a fresh start per his posts on twitter.
Something however is really off with Atelier Sakura, I'm not sure if its a black company or what, but the fact they couldnt even find a studio to animate for them (like an OVA) which is easy money tells me other studios were avoiding working with them.
Regardless I'm shocked they HAVE been around for 15 years, thats insane for a eroge game studio. Only a handful last that long, most developers eventually grow out of it and leave, with most starting the same way doujinshi studios start. Its usually a small group of dudes who get together to make a game, same way groups get together to make doujinhsi.
Some do form/grow into something bigger like Alicesoft but they all basically start as a humble studio to make one or two games as almost a hobby.

Personally I'm very excited for it - I started to think we'd only ever see one true netorase game from them. Yes I totally understand that many of you don't like netorase and thats cool, sex and erotism is different for everyone and even the smallest thing can ruin a moment for one person and help climax another.
I think its good to have variety and honestly, there isn't a lot of true netorase games out there so i think the market can survive a few handful. I think this also boils down to "you don't have to play EVERY NTR genre game. you don't have to "consume" product just because it exists - especially if you know you won't like it lol.

My 2 cents, if anything i am surprised they lasted this long, maybe COVID helped them? As in people who normally wouldn't look at them gave their games a try and sales improved? Honestly i am almost happy since hopefully staff with experience will go on their own way, maybe start their own circle or be contracted by one or even another studio.
I didn't even remember Onboro wasn't with them anymore, people here complained about the art but even that wasn't so bad if they paored it with better stories or tried new stuff. Hopefully the artist can go on to make themselves avalaible too. Think on how many small games with shit art could benefit! XD

Yeah!!!!after rin to shita tsuma I donot think they made any longer game ,hoping this next one from them will be quite large as they added some useless characters in the game but the main problem is.....that really ruins the gameplay mood.Now a days I am much interested in old-man ntr.plz suggest some of them if you had{plz avoid the mind-control ntr,really hate that catagory}
They can do a sequel but that really depends upon the sales and popularity.Just look at the Boku ni Dakare or kabe no mukou series or ntr homestay series....all of these are super-popular.For me though rin to shita tsuma series has some very erotic cg and animaton,but sadly the game is pretty much concluded so there can not be a sequel to rin to shita.
