I like both to be honest but there's something about the 2d otome games that I love. Either way, I'll be happy at the end of the day just by playing a otome game.
Hmm, I don't think so honestly unless the story is just that bad (which I haven't ran into yet but even then I think I'd do my best to give it a shot) but I wouldn't skip a otome game just because of one character in story.
I do like them! I think it's always a nice little treat after finishing all the routes and getting to romance a character that you couldn't touch before! A secret LI route that I liked was in Cupid Parasite but I did wish that you could of chosen anwsers in it as I felt a little sad not being...
I honestly don't mind having a female route in the otome game but I agree with Ninnikuryona that I wouldn't want them to take up half of the love interests. I think it would be a neat little thing if we could romance a female best friend that's trying to be a wingman for us (like how I wish we...
I normally stick to the routes that I'm interested in but if a game's story gets my attention quite a bit then I'll always go for all the routes unless there's a reason that I don't like the route.
Now if I was super rich then I'd so love to have that but we all know that it would extremely pricey. But the idea reminds me kind of the manga called Absolute Boyfriend which I adore!
I've never done a route where the brother was blood related so I can't say much of an opinion on it but I do love a good step siblings route (esp if the Il is older but not crazy older)! The step sibling route is even better for me when it's a either a protective brother, overprotective brother...
I've played quite a few r18 otomes that I've really enjoyed like Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome! I just want spice in my otome games sometimes but I'll still always love a sfw otome.
I would definitely prefer that it doesn't have it but if it does then I would hope it doesn't lock story behind things and that you can still earn it even if there's a grind for it.
I would honestly say that I'd recommend the Amnesia games! Both the art and characters are pretty unique with each story having a twist to it (also the fashion in Amnesia is very cool).
Just like a lot of others here, I also have a huge backlog that I'm trying to work on. My priorities for after finishing the current one I'm on is 9 R.I.P and Battlefield Waltz!
I do like my green flags but there's just something about how the red flag gets written is just too good to pass up and then they end up being some of my top favorites (oops).
