  1. Do you play otome or BL games with music?

this really is The Way for me as well
  2. What are your favorite indie VNs? - Otome, Amare, and BL

i believe this one counts as indie since the developer is listed as an individual.. monochrome heaven ! it's messy and that somehow makes it very entertaining to me. cinderella phenomenon is an easy pick as well! it's well done; not sure if i'd have the same impression if i were to play today...
  3. How many otome have you finished

28 otome games ive put in my vndb as finished. i've started so much more but dropped them because im fickle (..◜-◝..)
  4. Fellow Drama CD fans: Do you listen to the cast talks?

not really . perhaps I'm being cheeky, but it's like with singers or movie actors; I don't really care about what they're up to as people outside of their music/roles they played ... listening feels like sitting through a drawn-out speech at an event which i thought i could leave already
  5. Do you 100% complete your otome/bl VNs?

Unless it becomes so unbearable that I want to drop it I try to 100% everything! To be honest I can't say it's worth it every time, but ideally all of the endings create a full picture of the story for me, I feel like I'm missing out if I don't at least skim over everything
  6. Playing Otome/BL games on your commute

I usually just space out in public transport. Not exactly otome or BL, but I've played anime rhythm games in public before, that got me some weird looks a few times ˙𐃷˙
  7. Rescuer syndrome

Not exactly but I remember I dropped a game once because it felt like the heroine was solving the LIs problems while barely getting any support in return and i pouted over that
  8. What's your top otome recommendations for newcomers?

Depends on how acquainted they are with visual novels in general, but probably Amnesia (I see it being mentioned a lot here, dunno what they put in it but it does feel like the most obvious choice). If I were to stray from that then I'd say Nameless, or even Cinderella Phenomenon; those are...
  9. Self-Inserting and Heroine Voices in Otome Games

i like a heroine to be her own person, voice on when I was younger i used to prefer full-on self-inserts, but ive kind of grown bored of them after ive got a partner, even though i really miss that specific feel of imagining yourself as a protagonist i think my voice on preference comes from...
  10. What kind of atmosphere do you enjoy most?

More plot! Or at least some conflict going on, internal or external. Comedy and slice of life stuff are really not for me... Makes me want to skip everything...
  11. Returning to an otome game after a long break: restart or continue?

My memory is not That reliable but I'd continue ! I probably took a break for a reason and I'd rather minimize the chance of getting into that mood where I want to drop it again
  12. Do you play R18 Otome Games?

They don't have the same feeling but it's what gets me curious every time!! I play them when one catches my eye, It's interesting how they get around those scenes and how they portray them since it's for a female audience
  13. Do VAs influence you to start an Otome?

Not really  I have a few very small VAs I fancy but there's barely anything with them. It's fun to recognise popular ones though... Kakihara Tetsuya is one of the ones I particularly like seeing
  14. Do you use a guide or go in blind when playing otome games?

Always go for a guide Without it, it feels too much like an actual game and it's too much effort... I can't enjoy the story if I'm stuck raging over "how-to-get-the-ending". And if I pick up a guide after clearing one random ending, it'll feel like an inconvenience because I wasn't linear with it
  15. How often do you replay otome/BL games? If you do, do you only replay certain routes/parts or whole game?

I can't remember the last time I've replayed a game... I have some weird feeling that it'd be wasting my time, even though rationally I don't think I agree at all
  16. Do you finish all routes or only your favorites?

I try to 100% . It's nice to know you have every part of the story in the end , ; Can't say I actually do it in all of my readings
