Oh no I'm aware, the site is nearly unusable if you don't vpn. I'm unfortunately just meaning old stuff I liked/bookmarked way back just being deleted.
A lot of those artists have a barrage of blank videos, in general I noticed that a huge number of the more "pushy" MMD were just purged no matter the date of making.
I tried checking if it was a platform issue, maybe through nicozon listing or nicolog but alas.

I've been around a long ass time so I tend to just like to see how stuff evolves, basic dances are just whatever nowadays. There are some specifical ones that are particularly sexy I guess?

Personally I'm a big fan of imagination/see-don't-see, real strip flashing/embarrassment/general manipulation or casual sexual stuff during the dance
You gotta find the niche that compliments the dance, but in general to each their own my good man

many of them were, as you described, kinda mediocre templatey and hard to jerk-off to, but there's always an outlier hidden gems like xiaodidi09's creations and i think it's the chance probability to encounter something like that once in a while that kept me going and give every sex dance videos a try

A few people have already said their opinions, but here's mine. At least, a big part of my interest.

For the videos that do capture my interest, it's almost always because of how well the model data catches actual movement. Cloth that doesn't clip into or through the model. Actually believable physics based bounce or jiggle, etc. If the video contains stripping, clothes not vanishing into the void once they've been removed. Partial stripping that implies without showing anything.

I do also pay attention to the music used to dance to and have, since I started watching MMD-style vids, found and enjoy some new songs that I probably wouldn't have found otherwise.

Not a fan of nude dance videos, or dance videos in general, with the exception of actual strip animations during dance.... and what Arisananades does, the BAAM video with St. Luis being my favorite.
