I would prefer if the MC was voiced. I do understand that for self-insert characters, games try to keep them as the silent but I always found it weird and off putting that everyone around them spoke with but then when the MC did it would be silence. It would be especially noticeable when it...
Yooo I love 4shiki game reviews. I also got lots of laughs out of reading the reviews. Funny enough I only found that site while I was researching this game when I was younger, so while this game ultimately ended up not being for me, I do appreciate that it lead me to find that site since I got...
Don't mind it too much but I do prefer if the MC has a custom sprite. A faceless, blank MC kinda looks really out of place especially if the other characters and backgrounds are colored in and done with a lot of detail.
I think it would be cool but tbh it would be too tempting to use it frequently to change all kind of small and big mistakes from the past. I think I would get too caught up on changing the past to improve the present and forget to really live in the moment.
Hijikata and Okita from Hakuouki. They weren't bad but they were my least favorite as Chizuru seemed like an afterthought compared to the other routes that would focus on the developing relationship between LI and Chizuru's. I also felt both were lacking in more intimate and connecting moments...
Set personality. The interactions with the characters feel so one side and the choices feel very generic if the MC is a self interest. Also a set personality makes the dialogue and story more fun.
Not gonna lie but the weird pigeon dating sim "Hatoful Kareshi" was surprisingly good for being a parody game. This is the one that convinced me to try giving other games in the same genre a shot rather than writing them off.
Don't mind them too much but I find that it is hard for me to come back to a gacha otome game unless it has good gameplay and plot. Most are autobattlers and those, while the cards are pretty, I find don't really keep my interest for too long. Additionally, for me the appeal of an otome game is...
I remember them being in the early indie visual novel scene before that genre got really big. I really liked Cinderella Phenomenon and their earlier game Locked Heart. Their games had really lovely art and interesting writing so I was sad they never released another game after the Cinderella DLC.
Yoo same. I love a well written red flag yandere characters. The devotion to the MC and the craziness of their stories/character is what really draws me to them.
Similarly though, a well written green flag character really makes my heart go awww whenever I go through their route. My favorites...
I usually go on mangaupdate.com and search the tags for male yandere to find any new or old ones that exist. It's a great database and I like that you can add tags you want to include or exclude. This is usually how I find new series or just really good oneshots.
