What are the boundaries you would or would not tolerate in an otome game?

I noticed my only real limit is bad writing. If it's well-written I think I'm able to put up with anything really.

One thing I can't tolerate is an LI who already has a fiancée who loves him or is still in love with someone else, which is often seen in villainess/otome-isekai manga. I know it doesn't show up in the otome games I play, but if a game did have it, I'd probably just drop it immediately.

Li doing physical violence or killing mc. Like, why instead of romance i get tortured and murdered? furthermore in an otome gamee? although its mostly happened in bad end, its still make me uncomfortable, i need to pause before continue playing it or i might just skip it.

dang i agree, I played boyfriend to death when I was younger (pretty young) and being honest I was traumatized by Cain violence towards mc, even killing her and commiting cannibalism. Those are deffinitively my boundaries, I can accept a little bit of mistreatenings if there is redemption bUT WTFFFF WITH CAIN, I couldn't play anymore lmao, it was my first time playing and the worst, i'm aware the other routes are not that horrible but i'm taking my time aaaa

I can't tolerate NTR (cheating), harem, manipulation, dumb MC, sometimes love triangle drama is unbearable to me. I can bear physical abuse (i mean i like psychological theme) if the MC is smart enough for her to escape from the so situation, but tbh that was RARE i thnk.

I've read countless smut manga and shoujo that maybe manipulation and NTR is the MOST that i can't tolerate because this element is really common in there.

i was also saying wtf while reading your summary of the route, whats wrong with hiim? seriously, cant imagine mc has to go through and endure all that, it kinda make me sick cause it also include cannibalism, mc you choose the wrong people i said! how can mc even end up with him anyway and is there any ending where mc live is spared??
