Anime Sharing - Netorare General Discussion Thread

Man it's just only me or the last ntr games is not even worth to playing in...I mean I can see decrease of good writting and execute story lately, It's frustrating feeling when you finish a game and you will ask yourself wtf was that? you will ask yourself why you waste your time with this poor games?

Specially if you desire a "mystery" ntr and you will get half of the game, example venus games will always be in this style it start good but the revealing part never satisfied me.
Anim.TeamMM who was make a masterpiece games in the past now release just mediocre ntr games or incest...dunno what happen to the japanese guys inspiration but it lacks of original content or serious good story.
Lately all games was just a joke, I personally tired to give new games rating 5-6 on vndb, I will almost pray to see a good games like old times...

Until then I will make a pause of vn, it's just simple not worthing the time puting into the game just to be dissapoint on the end.
Tag me up when you find a good Mystery ntr game guys, I take a vacation for now.

I agree that the writing is bad compared to the old classics. Not sure why developers don't just take regular harem / romance manga and twist it. It's so much easier than having to pretend they know how to write good characters / romance.

All NTR needs a setup phase, to build a relationship worth destroying. NTR is the process that destroys that harmony, I think most fans revel in that. There's a TON of good romance manga where it's basically begging for NTR. For example, Nana to Kaoru basically had a NTR vibe to it that the author bitched out of. Kaguya-sama: Love is War, basically is asking for it (so much sexual tension). Horimiya, etc. NTR writers only need to spend a few hours understanding what makes them warm and fuzzy, and appropriate that into their own work. Make the reader love the characters, then add the sinister plot to it.

Really honestly why none of them connect those dots.

In terms of "programming", TeamAnim has a really good innovation in the that map system they created that allows you to switch between different POV. Too bad it's proprietary and Japanese in general have bad programming abilities due to the language barrier. Good programmers don't write H-games.

Soredemo Tsuma o Ai Shiteru had a really good "detective" system that I haven't seen. Let's you pinpoint things that look "off" on a picture to proceed on different routes, really fun. Haven't seen again.
 
Oh yeah, i wanna more ntr where they take the standard Shonen premise and twist it so the bad guys win, or at least the harem gets stolen xD

Is why To Love-ru ntr is one of my favorites, also ntr of series liek Clannad that are oh just so pure it feels extra evil muahahahahahahaha

Oh yeah, I can relate, although the only premise I like NTR for is Infinite Stratos. I've seen bad harem animes aplenty, and to this day, the MC of Infinite Stratos is the only one I truly, irrevocably brand 'undeserving of his harem'. Which is why I like it when they get stolen.

That's saying something--I'm someone who can feel a tiny bit bad for the victim in fucking Netori. Dog Fuck Idol for example--it's a great game (but with beastiality) that I recommend anyone who can tolerate Beastiality to try--the Producer is someone I think the world could use more of. I still took his girls though XD

There's a question I've wanted the answer to for a long time though--why does a chunk of NTR fans enjoy the 'gut-punch' style of NTR so much? Genuinely curious.

I prefer NTR as more of a mental/intellectual thing rather than just an emotional experience that basically demands that we feel bad, where we see the moral degeneration happening, where we get into the head of the girl (or play as her) and see what's going on inside there, how her thought processes and priorities are changing. That's why I especially like revenge stories where the victim comes out on top--because we see how HE changes, going from a limp-dicked wimp who couldn't stand up for himself into a badass avenging soul with a fiery determination to finally get his way.
 
I beat the new VENUS game - a bit surprised by all the negative feedback on this thread. I thought it was decent, although admittedly a B level effort. I wish there was a bit more of a corruption aspect to the game in the end but I thought the sense of betrayal the MC felt was done well, as well the nuanced differences in the two endings makes sense.

I do agree that it's not a true NTR game but the original title was "The game you don't know if there is NTR" so the title is apt.

This is why i say you should play the games yourself, you never know when you will like something despite what everyone says

Thanks for the post! You mind letting us know what the Proof of life posts say every now and then? I know they wanted to do one more ending and then maybe another month so polish and finalize things, but one of the posts they were apologizing, and some I'm guessing are on HC3 updates.

My guy, proof of life is legit $1, just be thankful for the $20 game drops and move on.

The dev said he wanted to do a fifth ending for the last update (16), but it looks like he won't have time for it because he wants more time spent on HC3's development. Here's the latest Proof of Life anyways:

Proof of Life #102: About Next Update and True Ending (Please read)

Hello guys and gals, N_Taii here. I've got a pretty important PoL Monday post today, which explains more in details what I will be doing in the from now on and gives more infos about the upcoming ending, the True Ending.

Long read ahead!

About HC2's development
1) Update 15 will come out on the 17th for 5$+ Patrons, 5 days after the first release.

2) About the True Ending: First of all, why is it called the "True" Ending, you may ask? Well, currently, the word "true" doesn't really bear any particular meaning whatsoever. When I made the first True Ending in HC1, the plan was that, if I ever made a sequel or a game using some of the characters of HC1, the True Ending would serve as the official settings for those characters. I wanted to make some kind of open-world sequel at first, but I gave up the idea because of the scale and it probably wasn't what people wanted to see. Still, I'm keeping this tradition of a True Ending for HC2 as well. You never know, the Celis, Noah, or Aywin might come up in another game one day. But as long as there is no sequel, you may use whatever ending you want and call it the real true ending. Nobody would be able to prove you wrong.


What will it contain? Mostly story. Actually, only story. One alternative outcome for some of the characters. This ending is the one I envisioned when I first started developing the game. Please, I ask of you not to have any particular expectations for this ending. What I mean by that, don't expect it to be like the one in HC1, or for it to be another revenge/ntr/happy ending. It's just one ending that I, as the developer, think is most fitting for HC2 looking back on everything that has happened. Although you may or may not agree with me, I hope you'll approach it with an open mind : )

3) Update 16 will be the last one for HC2. I know I said there might be a fifth ending, but quite frankly, I thought I'd have some time to work on HC3 in-between the endings when I said that. However, they took most of my time, so much that I had to extend the deadline for some of them. So I've decided to settle down for four ending so as to not push back the first demo release of HC3 too far in the future.

However, this doesn't mean I will rush HC2. I tried to find a way to incorporate some sex scenes into HC2's True Ending, but I simply couldn't. Instead, I found another way to bring you guys some of that spicy content you're looking for. I will dedicate the second part of the update to implementing new stuff into the already released endings and make the game better overall. New scenes, new story sequences, a skip into feature + a reworked tutorial are some of the ideas I have in mind. However, I will pin a new post on this page somewhere this week that will serve to collect feedback from you guys on what things you would like to see added into the endings. If you have some things you'd like to see in-game, you can start preparing a list already. But please keep it concise and easy to read : )

So, to summarize: Update 16 will have two parts. The first one will be dedicated to making the True Ending. Then, I will rework the endings and add some more stuff so the game feels as complete as possible for its last update. Since I don't know how much time this will all take and rushing the very last update is the last thing I want to do, Update 16 will have no deadline. But of course, I will keep you updated on the progress made.

About HC3's development
I talked to you in the last PoL about wanting to have the portraits made in pixel art, right? Well, I have found an artist I really like, and have sent him an email and a message on twitter, but so far I've apparently been ignored. Since I don't want to post any of his art on here without his permission, and because I don't want to hype you guys up before letting you down by saying it didn't work out, I will keep his identity a secret. Hopefully, I'm not being ignored on purpose...

*sigh*...This reminds me that one of the hardest part of this job is working with artists...

Anyway, sorry for ending it on a negative note. I hope you liked the news about HC2 though!

Hello everyone! 

I had promised to put up a post for you to drop your feedback on what you would like to see added into the HC2 endings I have uploaded so far , so here it is!

I am currently still at the beginning of developing the True Ending, but I'd like to gather your ideas already, so shoot away!^^ You can either post them in the comments or send me a private message.

A few things I'd like you to keep in mind tough:

1) Please keep it concise and simple. For example: "I'd like another scene in the NTR ending with X character/with the side-characters", or "It would be cool to see more story sequences with X character and Y character during the revenge ending". 

Please, don't go into too much details of what fetish you would like to see or how the scene you have in mind would play out. Instead, think of it as some kind of survey to see if I should add more scenes/story, and with who. Too much details from everyone could get a bit overwhelming.

2) Please don't get upset if your feedback doesn't make it into the game. I probably won't have the time nor the energy to accomodate everyone's wishes. Sorry!

3) Don't hesitate to report any bugs, typos, or anything you believe should get fixed anywhere in the game. I've seen people apologize for reporting bugs. Please, don't. If anything, I should be the one to apologize. I'm always grateful to receive bug reports, especially now that we're nearing the end of the game.

Things I have already planned to add: Skip button for the intro, Reworked tutorial, some kind of short after-story for the NTR ending and non-NTR ending, confrontation scene for Aywin during the Revenge ending.

---On another note, I have finally found an artist for the portraits + banner of HC3. Unfortunately, I've had to give up on the idea of having the portraits done in pixel art because really good pixel artists that are proficients with portraits are extremely rare, and none of them were available to work with me in the near future. 

I really wanted to show you his work now, but I'll keep it for the next PoL ; )---

Thank you very much for the share, man! Every time I play this game, I get the urge to make one myself… It's such a cool concept and it's not that hard (more than anything, it's time consuming), but I just can't get myself to do it because I'm an idiot. Sprite sex is enough really, but I sometimes feel like it's lacking. Wouldn't the game be in another level if it had illustrations? And then I think... wouldn't it be even better if it was a VN with models from Daz? I just keep going down this rabbit hole in my own head and never get anything done hahahaha.

N_Taii is such a good developer. I've myself supported him in the past but right now I'm sort of not in a place where I can just spend money on porn to be honest. So I thank you once again for the share.
