That's actually what the error said. short for "initialization". Long Live the Queen! She will outlast us all. But no, not British. sadly. I might be .0000000000000000001 British, but I think that doesn't count.

Aiox, how did you get it to work? I keep getting the Sound Init Failed... Sorry, I'm not very computer literate.

Go to the commonredist folder and directx>June 2010>setup.exe install it and run it

I know this isn't the right place but can I ask: Aiox could you crack The men of yoshiwara kikuya in the same way - I know that it has been uploaded and shared, however, when I'm trying to start this game I got this message:kikuya.exe is not a valid Win32 application.( I know that many people have the same problem). I have windows xp so I thought that my os is too old, but when you cracked Destiny's princess( this game has the same producent and system requirements) and it worked on my old laptop I thought I would ask - I really want to play that game. I'm sorry for bothering you and once again big thank you Aiox, alisonder!

Thank you for the link but the game still doesn't work. I got the (...) is not a valid Win32 application. I've already tried downloading it from erogedownloads, a-s forum, nicoblog - nothing works. I reinstalled system and I got the same problem. I don't know what else to do, that is why I'm bothering you:(- I'm sorry for the trouble and thank you:).

I apologize. I didn't think you had downloaded it from multiple sources already...hmm...It's a tough one. I would say, try Cleaning your temp files. Follow this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/315589 tell me how it goes. Follow all the steps in that link if possible.

Once again thank you for the link, but I did everything listed on that page and it didn't work. Still the same "not a valid Win32 application". I ran antivirus and nothing came up. I re-installed the system and nothing changed. I'm really gratefull that you are trying to help me solve this problem. :)

I forgot to mention that I don't have steam account - I don't know if it's important or not.

It works without a steam account.
If any case maybe you can try to download this Win8WOH.zip from this japanese site:http://resemblances.click3.org/?p=1406
and place Version.dll in your game folder. Maybe that would work?

I just don't understand why other games with the same or higher system requirements work, and The Men of Yoshiwara doesn't, it's just mean:(

To be honest. I think I know what MIGHT be the issue. Maybe it's the compiler. There was one version of the compiler that didn't work for Windows XP. I could try and run XP and try to run the game, but it would take a helluva of a while. Any reason why you haven't upgraded to 10? I think it was from XP-7 that could upgrade to 10.

I dunno if you did this. But have you tried running it as administrator? Just curious. Right click and click on Run as Administrator.

Sorry, for the question, I may sound stupid, but the link is only the game or the crack? I didn't get it and downloaded anyway but I get "Unable to find game executable. Verify your "StartIn" folder and "Target" folder setup in configuration file". I have no idea what to do from here -_-

As the title of the link says. It's the crackOnly, you can download the game files from Alisonder's post that should be in Page 2 at the end.

Well, I didn't upgrade it because I don't have the money to buy a new laptop with a better system. I tried to install windows 7 once and it didn't work well on it. That is why I've used win xp - I hope to change that and buy a new a laptop in September, but it so far away right now:(.

I did try to run it as admin but it didn't help. Thank you Aiox for all the help and your time - really big THANK YOU!!

I am seriously curious now. I feel like your system would be a 32-bit and somehow the game is 64-bit. but O feel that might not be the case.
