I think it looks kinda interesting? But I have to agree that the artwork is not really all that 'capturing' (no offense to the artist, of course.)
Though because it's a collab work between Rejet and Otomate, both of them have very good reputation and all, that's why many are looking forward to it?
I'm not really sure how it'd be like though -u- I really hope the story would be good. High hopes for Otomate and Rejet.

i didn't like the artstyle. and the plot is just......... too vitamin. i guess the director (or the writer) is the same with the vitamin series so i can't see it as nothing other than a high-schooler-boys-and-high-schooler-shujinkou version of vitamin series. but well, i want to play it at the end because the characters are just too interesting XD and i loved the opening theme ;w; i guess it will be a fun-to-play seishun game

I'm definitely going to play this. It's actually refreshing to be able to interact with characters that don't criss-cross the "Gary Stu" borders. Actually, quite laughably, there is a character that is "so perfect" that it's considered a "disappointment" within the game. I wonder if he will be a parody of the Gary Stus in otome games as a whole, haha. I'm mostly interested in Jun (I think?) the beyond-unlucky one.
I almost started to wonder if the art was intentionally... "unconventional", to fit in with the "disappointment" theme, but I doubt that much insight was put into the game!
About the Rejet + Otomate thing, I wonder which dev was allocated which responsibility? Hopefully Rejet oversaw most of the writing!

LOL-- There there, I do think Otomate had produced good games too, my favorite was Amnesia so let's hope this one lives up to our hope then xD

Also, this isn't the first time Rejet and Otomate joined forces. Diabolik Lovers turned out to be an okay game. Nothing special nor horrible. Boring "Otomate" protagonist and a basic plot, but acted and executed well enough to be entertaining.
While Rejet's quality is fairly consistent since their first game, Otomate (to me) has always been hit-or-miss. Sure, Otomate churned out objectively subpar games like NORN9 and Shiratsuyu no Kai and they should stop milking Amnesia and Hakuouki, but their two most recent games (not including -8), Snow Bound Land and Jewelic Nightmare seems to be getting good reviews all up.
I've been reading various opinions of those who have played -8, and the majority of them are enjoying it. So I'm hoping it will be the same or us. -8 has some things going against it (e.g., the ridiculousness of the high school, the silliness of the setting enforcing the protagonist to "find love" (instead of the characters just interacting with one another) and how the protagonist has been lazily given an edge by being a "disappointing boy magnet"), but I think it's a fresh concept and will be fun. :)
