Sure, writing a story sounds fun if we don't take it too seriously.
I haven't been translating anything aside a couple of doujins in the last months becuase I'm too busy, before summer I had started transcripting one of the inyouchuu novels from e-hentai but then I stopped and I even lost part of it, I don't know what you mean by translating a game but we didn't do anything like that.
Freelance artists are expensive, especially good ones T_T and we would need someone that likes to draw that kind of extreme content.
I haven't tried discord but I see many people using it, is it good?

Yes, RPG Maker is...well...focused on RPG. Ven we can modded it wit Java Script I still think it a bit hard at this point because the program itself always need to modded up for creating any original VN.
I'm currently start learning on renpy engine the same time I discovered VN Maker XD (Really want to try creating my own VN)
My idea is based on Monster Girl Quest system that consist a lot of unique wiki and in-universe info.
Nice to hear that you want to create your own VN too. Drawing is not that much problem in my opinion. We can learn or create similar art for the project or try seek help from freelance artist :3

P.S. I see that you and Echelon try to translate the game before me. But look like is a bit hard to do it here. Maybe we should set up a properly google drive or Discord server for this purpose :)

Windows 7 is better, it should have less problems. To update ITH you have to open ITH updater as admin, make sure this is the address https://interactive-text-hooker.googlecode.com/svn/project/ITH3/Release/
Click "update ITH", if it says try http say yes, when it finishes do the same with update profile and now it should be up to date.
If I could actually draw I would love to create a visual novel similar to inyouchuu. I don't like RPG maker that much because it's very limited, it's slow, the interface is not that great and it's more geared toward making RPGs. I think Ren'py is better even though it requires some coding, but let's see how this new program works.
