did you even watch the series? though I still don't know why she could no longer use her powers properly (she didn't need the armor before) Eu suffers excruciating pain whenever she uses her powers excessively which is roughly about when she exceeds 3 uses. In the OVA, Ayumu got severe head pains with just one phrase. Overall I think it depends on how much magic is necessary

yup but that's because he's a zombie. I wonder why he didn't turn himself human? he still suffered some pain though. Watch the last 5 episodes of season 2, I got teary-eyed at the end.
