I just played a demo of an otome game, and I realized that I kind of struggle with dialogue options
I never know whether I should pick the answer that's closest to what I would personally say or play strategically so I can pursue everyone, lol.
When I choose based on what I would actually say, I worry that I might miss out on certain routes or end up with a bad ending (speaking from experience xD)
So, I'd love to know how you guys approach dialogue choices! Do you usually go with your gut and pick the answers that feel most natural to you, or do you play strategically to get the routes and endings you want? How do you handle this dilemma?

because I am most definitely a logical person 100% of the time and so the correct decision is also an accurate representation of my personal self and what I would actually do
Sometimes the choices are SO misleading too!! Like, how was I supposed to know that being nice to someone would somehow lower their affection?!
