I just played a demo of an otome game, and I realized that I kind of struggle with dialogue options 😅 I never know whether I should pick the answer that's closest to what I would personally say or play strategically so I can pursue everyone, lol.

When I choose based on what I would actually say, I worry that I might miss out on certain routes or end up with a bad ending (speaking from experience xD)

So, I'd love to know how you guys approach dialogue choices! Do you usually go with your gut and pick the answers that feel most natural to you, or do you play strategically to get the routes and endings you want? How do you handle this dilemma? 🤔

Although I, like you, am afraid of missing CG or other routes, I will prioritize choosing the option I am most curious about. After satisfying my curiosity, if my choice causes me to miss a route, I will play through a second time for full collection. During the second playthrough, I might discover different details, which is also nice, so I am the go-with-the-flow type.

I picked personal, but my toxic trait is that i think whatever personal decisions I make are also the most strategic and correct 🤣 because I am most definitely a logical person 100% of the time and so the correct decision is also an accurate representation of my personal self and what I would actually do 😻

I used to go with my gut, but after getting punished for choosing what seemed like a perfectly reasonable answer, I've learned not to trust myself anymore 😭 Sometimes the choices are SO misleading too!! Like, how was I supposed to know that being nice to someone would somehow lower their affection?!
