You guys prefer novel or manga?

For manga, I love the dynamic and creative visual language of the panels,
as well as how different art styles can express so much of the artist's soul.
For novels, I love how vivid writing allows me to freely imagine and build emotions and scenes in my own mind.
So for me, both are truly incomparable experiences！

If we are talking about novel->comic adaptations, I think it depends, honestly.
If we compare light novels vs manga adaptation of those novels (that is, JP-specific), in my experience almost always the mangas tend to be more emotional / more descriptive. I'd wager it's because light novels...are, well, light and really short. For korean novels/manhwa I think it honestly reeeally depends on the producer and the team - the novels sometimes are muuuch better than the adaptation (either because the manhwa gets axed too early, some parts get dropped, or worse still - the story changes because producer though it wouldn't sell lol). Though there are, of course, exceptions to that too. Same for chinese novels/manhua tbh.
That's why I tend to read 1-10 chapters of the adaptation and then go to the source. If the source is kinda eh, I'd go back to the adaptation. And if not, I'd read source novel first and then check out the adaptation just to enjoy it twice/see the differences.
