Would you rather play an otome game with an incredibly well-written story, interesting characters, and amazing plot twists, but absolutely ZERO romantic chemistry between the heroine and the LIs?
OR
A game with a completely ridiculous plot, questionable writing, and a story that barely makes sense, but the romantic chemistry is SO good that you can't stop playing?
Personally, I feel like chemistry can carry a lot, but there's definitely a limit to how much bad writing I can tolerate...
Which one would you choose?

I usually care more about the story and can let go of things like romantic feels, but thinking about it more I feel like if the interactions between characters are bad then just having a good plot probably wouldn't be enough to draw me in either, because I'm at least somewhat there for that little bit of romantic interaction.
. I'd rather have a ridiculous storyline with romance that actually makes me feel something! Cupid Parasite immediately comes to mind LOL. The storyline gets so ridiculous at times, but the chemistry between the MC and the LIs makes it work!
I think the best otome games are the ones where the romance feels like a natural part of the story rather than something that's just thrown in.
