would you like to see your favorite otome game get an anime adaptation?

No. Most otome anime adaptations are either simply bad or serve as advertisements for the VN. Therefore, the events are too rushed, the plot is shortened and rewritten. Also, since these adaptations usually don't have big budgets, the animation and graphics aren't very good...
I've encountered more than one situation where people, after watching the anime, decided that VN was just that bad.
Also I'm already traumatized enough by the Collar x Malice anime.

I cant say I would. I just dont think Otome games make for good anime material. Tbh Ive never watched one myself so I dont know but is there even one example of one that actually turned out amazing? Feels like all the ones I hear about ended up mostly disappointing.

Most anime adaptations of otome games flop, that's true. But I think the problem is that they're often not made with the intention of being great anime in the first place. They feel more like promotional material for the game rather than something the studio is putting their heart and soul into.

That said, there are definitely some really good adaptations, like Kamigami no Asobi or the first Kiniro no Corda.

But if you ask me whether I'd actually want my favorite otome game to get an anime adaptation, absolutely. I'd love to see it.

My all-time favorite otome game, Wand of Fortune, actually has a lot of potential as an anime. I think it could be incredibly fun and hilarious, especially if they captured the original characters and their dynamics properly.

And with everyone being so into magical and fantasy-themed stuff lately, I feel like it could actually do really well. I genuinely think Wand of Fortune could be a hit if it were given a proper anime adaptation. ✨

Most of the time, no. Otome animes tend to be nothing burgers mostly because it needs to have all of the LIs present without actually having a proper plot, which prevents from telling a good story and a good romance.

I think that if it focused more on adding to the story of the game, like a prequel or episodic chapters, that it could prove interesting, but it may still fail.

I saw both otome and BL game based animation, first I was excited but couldn't enjoy any of them.
Because most otome and BL games has several routes and anime has only one route we can't see the true ending and if it is the true ending route, sadly many parts will be cut off and the storyline doesn't make sense and non-gamer can't understand how good the original games are.
But hoping to see satisfying anime adaptation some day! Fan disc omake anime are always great.

Also I like to play the story on my pace, pause and replay the log to prepare 'cause some scenes I just can't handle them.

Probably not. I haven't watched many, but I feel like anime adaptations of otome games are usually not good. It's pretty hard to fit everything that happens in the game into a couple of episodes so they will either have to do a bit of each LI's route or just focus on one. There's a good chance the plot will be confusing or it'll be rushed.

If I want more content, I'd rather they release a DLC or fandisc/sequel. I think anime adaptations are good for those who don't play otome games and can be a good introduction for them. I know it works because that's how I learned about and got into them haha.

No because most otome game to anime adaptations severely lack budget and look really bad from a basic visual standpoint. I can understand speeding up the pacing or only focusing on 1 route to fit the allotted runtime but at least let it look pretty if the story is going to be compromised. If the visuals were decent it would work better as an advertisement through fan activities (showing my age here but as an example: a fan making AMVs or aesthetic gifsets on Tumblr using clips from the anime and other people discovering it through those, which in turn may lead them to checking out the original game it is based on afterwards). I would not risk any of my fave games getting an adaptation like the one Dynamic Chord got so I never choose the anime option whenever there's an official survey asking fans what type of new content they want.

I have no objection to otome games being adapted into anime. However, given the time constraints, it is a shame that the story inevitably has to be simplified. That said, an anime reaches a wide audience, so I would be happy if it served as an entry point for people who previously had no interest in otome games.

absolutely not!! for whatever reason studios LOOOOVE including bl shit in their anime adaptations, and it ruins the experience for everyone (but mostly for the fans themselves obviously)!! i dont want even more games to be ruined..
not to mention how hard it is to compile a big 50+hr game in just 12 episodes, which make up a grand total of 5hr of screen time. other vn adaptations suffered from it too, not just otome

i just dont see the obsession with everything having an anime adaptation. its almost like people completely disregard any manga/vn that doesnt have anime over those that do. thats just disrespectful. also, an anime adaptation of something has a very high chance of being pure shit in terms of both plot and visuals, which will just make it a permanent stain on the franchise. nope, id rather read my funny letters while looking at my funny pngs..

To be honest, I'm not really keen on it, but it still depends on which studio is handling it. Some adaptations end up with a poor viewing experience due to insufficient budget, the production quality is rough, the art style or character proportions might be off, and because of runtime constraints, there will most likely be a lot of cut content. But if an anime does come out, I'd probably still give it a watch.
