The VN industry has been around for many years, and it's good that it's not standing still. Because i'm interesting i'll try to recreate my path to where we are today in the translation industry, and I'd be interested to hear what you use today and back of the day.

Ancient time. 2010. I tried visual novels for the first time, but they were mostly in Japanese (which I didn't speak, of course), and at first, I just looked at the pictures and tried to figure out what was happening to the Seiyuu voice. Omg it was hilarious time. The grass was be definitely more greenish.
Later, I learned that games could be translated, and that was a new
MILESTONE for me.~My first translator was Atlas (and whosh man installing it and using it was a real hassle
, considering I'm not a native English speaker and Atlas translate only on English).And more intresting. With Atlas i used AGTH (It's the real ancient time back in the day, when you had to create shortcuts to VNs and sign the process code in the settings. So so busy. So so glitchy.
)~Later, AGTH couldn't handle new VNs, and then ITH came along. (I'm not sure how exactly it differed from AGTH cause I'm not a coder, but at least it had a decent interface.) And along with ITH, the TranslatorAggregator was used, which be was very, very good for that time
and could even translate using well-known translation platforms. Of course, it was good as long as it worked at all and as long as the developers supported it. 
And that time comes.
~Hooray, Hooray, Hooray. Finally, a beast like Textractor has appeared in the info field. (Although the first versions looked like latest version of ITH cause it's the same developer, but Textractor was much more stable and intuitive.)
And ya know Textractor is still quite a beast, with new versions constantly being released, and the developer's support is quite impressive.
~However, a Godzilla called LunaTranslator has appeared, and oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, this is a true main character among translators in my opinion.
If you haven't tried it, you should definitely do so. (It might be scary for forst try, to undastand how to work with Luna but If you've used Textractor before, understanding Luna's settings won't be a problem for you.)Upd. I know about VNR, but I didn't mention it because it never worked properly for me, even though I tried using it. Let me know in the comments if VNR worked for you and how you managed to tame it, because for me, it's still like an open wound from my heart.
