Which one do you like the most: Otome or BL

I definitely prefer Otome when it comes to games! As for BL, I actually prefer reading novels and things like that instead of playing games.

I consumed a lot of BL for a while, but in terms of preference, I relate much more to otome games; the themes explored there often don't have the same kind of negative impact.
A major trope in BL often involves relationships where rape occurs before the characters actually build a bond. I can appreciate the genre, but it always leaves a bitter aftertaste.

I'd choose BL, although I love otome games too.

I often find BL protagonists more interesting. They usually have stronger, more defined personalities, flaws, and personal struggles, which makes me much more invested in their journey.

I also feel like, at least from the BL visual novels I've read, the stories tend to take more risks. They're often darker, more psychological, or explore themes that I don't see as often in otome games. Because of that, they tend to stay with me for much longer after I finish them.

I'm more into otome games. I pick some BL to read from time to time because they picked my interest, but I'm honestly not that much into the niche.

BL, but that mostly because BLs tend to be darker and have a fully realized MC. I've started dipping my toes into otomes a couple of years ago, and, while I enjoyed the ones I played, none of them hit that BL spot yet.
