Which one do you like the most: Otome or BL

BL because i think the memes that come of them are funnier and it easier to distance myself from what is happening

I couldn't choose. It was the BL genre that started it all for me; from there, I became interested in *otome* content as well. While I currently play more *otome* titles, my love for both genres remains unchanged. That might partly be because I tend to enjoy BL primarily through manga, whereas I mostly enjoy *otome* through games.

I started with BL and I'm still stuck there. Maybe it's bcs you don't necessarily self-insert? Like you can be detached from the narrative as an expectator. I can go in depth about gender identity in this as well and why I, personally, don't feel confortable with Otome in general, tho I understand the appeal for a lot of people.
