Which one do you like the most: Otome or BL

I was addicted to otome when I was younger, but as I grew older I got more into BL. Nowdays I consume more BL, but I'll always love both

But lately, I think I've been into otome more often.

I dont really grow up with bl content. Of course, there are some works with bl elements that have really interesting plots, like the cakeverse world. I like how the love story is combined with a horror aesthetic in there.

But when it comes to enjoying stories, what im looking for is learning about myself and the world, not something that focuses too much on one gender. So I usually choose otome content instead.

I enjoy otome games because I've never been interested in BL elements since childhood. Instead, I love the excitement they bring and the variety of male characters—this allows me to imagine dating them!

I like otome games more! I've actually never played a BL game before. I'm a huge self-insert player, and I can only really immerse myself through a female MC. Even in regular RPGs, I tend to have a hard time getting into them if the protagonist is male. That's why otome games are much more my thing.

This is purely my own personal preference—I simply love a good story. The more detailed the plot, the more interaction between the characters, and the more inner monologues there are, the more I enjoy it.
In my view, most otome and BL meet these criteria, so it really is difficult to choose. I'm more likely to be swayed by whether the story's setting or character designs appeal to me; whether it's an otome or BL doesn't really matter.

I used to like both BL and otome, but as I've gotten older, my preference for otome has grown stronger.
I still like both, but my preference for otome is stronger now.
I enjoy them in different ways: with BL, I enjoy seeing my favorite characters interact, and with otome, I enjoy projecting myself into the story.

Nowadays I'm more into otome and yuri/GL. I used to play a lot of BL games, but most of them were really sexual. One game honestly caught me off guard because it had unwanted sexual advances, and since then I haven't really touched BL games anymore.
