Which functions do you wish were more present in games?

Probably UI features, but also feel free to mention extras like soundtrack galleries or more.

The feature I miss the most is "Skip to Next Choice". Makes replaying routes much easier (especially if there's a lot of endings, cough, Kaguya's route in TxA). Also love when games let you adjust voice settings for individual characters instead of just having a single global voice toggle.

The option to save voicelines and change font are also other big ones!!

Yes to all of those you mentioned!! Especially the save voice lines ones, I appreciate the game so much when they have it (they rarely do 🥲). I just want to listen to the hot voices like a 100x.

Other than that, I love it when games have a Save label feature so I can keep track of my saves. When I use walkthroughs, it would be so helpful to keep track of what ending the save goes to or to just save specific moments to replay.

I totally forgot about save file labels! You're so right. Sometimes when there's tabs in the save section it makes organizing them a bit easier, but it's still difficult to traverse through when you're looking for something specific... I think save labels are usually only present in OELVNs, big shame since I don't think they should be that hard to code in? (Then again I know nothing about coding lol)

In Karin Entertainment games, there is a feature that lets you save voice lines, and I think it's super cool because I often find myself wanting to save a bunch of them

I'd like a feature to skip to the next option, avoiding wasted time and replaying previously read parts of the story.

This would be especially helpful for players aiming for all character routes, multiple playthroughs, or unlocking hidden routes.

Additionally, when loading game progress from the title bar, I'd like it to jump directly to the last scene played.

I'd also like to be able to save favorite character voice lines at any time for later replay.

Ideally, when saving game progress, I'd like to be able to input text annotations (e.g., the branching point of a character's route).

100% agreed with all previously mentioned features:
"adjust voice settings for individual characters"
"The option to save voicelines and change font"
"a Save label feature"
The other things I miss:
1. A generous number of save slots. Now I'm playing a game which is over 60h long with only 48 save slots. Yes, I can manually move already existing savefiles out from a save folder and create new saves without losing the old ones, but it's freaking annoying.
2. An option to change the colour of previously read text. Many games have this, but not all of them.
3. An option to skip back to the previous choice.
4. A toggle to allow skipping only read text or both read and unread text.
5. Easy rewinding. 99 % of games have easy fast-forwading, but if I want to go back a little, the only option is to open the backlog in most cases. I don't want any stupid backlog, I want proper rewinding!
6. A wider timing range for autoplay. Even the slowest setting is too fast when I'm using a translator with an unlocalized game. I have to use an external autoclicker script instead.
