When a new fd has released do you go play fd first or replay the first game again

I just replay my favorite route before the FD for fun or if it's been a bit. I usually remember the important plot points from the original.

I usually just check CGs of the main game and then play FD. I do not mind not remembering some details from the first game because usually during the playing the FD, I would be reminded of main game's events

If it's been a few years, I'll probably replay the first game first because I'll have forgotten everything by then I will need a refresher before starting the FD

I'll start by playing the FD version.
While playing, I often find myself wondering, "Wait, was it like this?" and end up replaying the original game.

I'll just play FD. Since I'm playing FD, it means I'm actually pretty fond of this series, and I'll probably remember some of the story.

Like others, I go straight to the FD. I admit that usually I vaguely remember the plot the first game, but I am there for the characters so it's all ok. If there are plot points I forget, I like to read reviews to help me freshen up my knowledge.

I never replay games personally I think otome games should be played once each because they're so long and consuming !

I always feel like I need to replay the first game because my memory is pretty bad but once i boot it up it turns out I actually do remember most of it and then it feels pointless to go through it all again when i could be enjoying the new stuff instead

Depends on how long ago I played the original game and also how much the fandisk is asking from my bird brain to remember details from the first game XD

I'll start by playing the FD as it is, and if there are too many things I can't remember, I'll go back and replay the main game partway through, then return to the FD.
