What's your very first Otome game?

My first otome game was Atelier Elkrone: Dear for Otomate, on PSP.

Back then, I didn't know it was an otome game. I just saw that it was part of the Atelier series, which I had been wanting to play. But at the time, I didn't have a PS3 (I really wanted to play The Alchemist of Arland series), so I ended up downloading this game because the visuals looked similar.

As I kept playing, it turned out to be way more fun than I expected. I already liked the magical school setting, so it really drew me in. It was actually my first time experiencing an otome game properly (though not my first visual novel).

I was so surprised to see this name mentioned here. You just unlocked my old memories too lol.

I'm still disappointed that (P)lanets 2 and Circum[N]avigate never got released...
I played it so long ago I barely remember it xD

And I had no idea there was supposed to be a sequel, too bad :/

The developer had her own blog too.

There wasn't much progress after that and Teacup just slowly disappeared... I still keep (P)lanets saved on my own storage, just in case Teacup deletes it. It happens a lot with old games from indie devs.

Ohh it looked good!

That's smart to keep the game saved, I might do the same, it wouldn't be bad to replay it after so many years

I started with Android ones, cause I had no console. My first one I think, was Forbidden Love 🤣, the protagonists were step siblings (it was pretty bad written, but there I was, at 11 playing that thing 🫠. Then, I played My Elemental Prince, by Genius inc, and oh god, I still have a place in my heart for that game

English: Fantasia: The Realm of Thanos
Japanese (Commercial): Hiiro no Kakera DS
Japanese (Doujin): Monochrome Heaven

I think one of the first otome games I played was My Candy Love, but the one I played consciously knowing it was an otome game was Tokimeki Memorial Girl; I don't remember which version, but it was the NDS one.

I believe it was Hakuouki which was a weird start, all the history, characters and drama. I was so overwhelmed but I stuck it and now look at me... definitely not obsessed with these games now. 👀

My first was My Candy Love (Amour Sucré)! Me and a friend used to play it and gossip about it at school lol. My favorite was Castiel back then which is kind of funny to think about now because I really don't vibe with that LI archetype anymore. As for my first japanese otome, I think it was Ijiwaru MyMaster with the partial spanish patch that existed at the time... Definitely not the most age appropriate choice in hindsight 💀

My first game was Amor Sucre; a friend recommended it to me, and I started following Lysander's route.

Stumbled on games from shall we date, voltage and Cheritz (started with Dandelion and Nameless) and classics like Hakuouki, Collar X Malice and Code Realize from YouTube playthroughs; as for otomes I first actually played and invested time in were..Hatoful Boyfriend and Mystic Messenger

I started with android otomes, most notably Mystic Messenger from a friend who played it before and then I fell deep into the otome hole...

I think my very first otome game was Ozmafia! I remember being atracted to the visuals of the VN and especifically Kyrie the scarecrow :3 I came for the visuals and stayed for the plot -w-

The first otome game I ever played was Chou no Doku. I tried running it on an emulator, and I still remember the helplessness of getting a game over without using a guide — and the shock of getting my first bad ending. XD
我玩过的第一款乙女游戏是《超之独》。我试着在模拟器上运行,至今还记得没有攻略就直接结束游戏的无助感——以及第一次遇到坏结局的震惊。XD

I was a big fan of korean dramas (still is) but at one point I already watched every dramas I thought was interesting and got bored so one of my friend recommended Ozmafia. I like it so much , the characters, the story, everything was amazing and then I started researching other otomes games and every time I play a new game, I'm still so happy =)

I think my first ever otome game was a game on the mobile phone. It's a game by CYBIRD called midnight cinderella, but I believe it has already been removed from the playstore. Yall that game opened a whole new world for me 😂.

My first ever otome game is kiniro no corda 2 psp version and then otomate's Moujuutsukai to Ouji-sama (as the graphic is so attractive). I still remember feeling completely overwhelmed by the jump in explicitness—the contrast between those two is huge!

My first otome game was Amnesia, then after that, got really interested in otome genre, started to play the older otome games and iirc Hakuoki that's still not getting localization yet.

And started learning Japanese through VN just to play the other VNs and titles hehe

Mine first otome is Nightshade/百花百狼, I was just a sixth grader when I got thrown into this emotion roller-coaster man😂😂😭😭😭.
Read the tags b4 playing folks, don't be like me🥹

My first ever otome game was Harukanaru Toki no Naka de , and it blended RPG elements with romance. I stumbled upon it myself because I was drawn to the beautiful historical Japanese setting.
