There are some with codes that start with B and some that start with R and I've always wondered what's the real difference between them.
I mean the prices aren't that much different, and it's not like that they have seiyuus specializing in those that start with B codes anymore?
I've also noticed that those that start with B codes sell in platforms other than dl, like stellar or poke.
Is there any other real difference except that those with B are often belong a certain series and specific circles?
Does anyone know what's the difference? Maybe before covid and a long time ago did they used to only release in hard copy cds?

I thought that titles starting with "B" were commercial works, while those starting with "R" were doujin (indie) works. I assumed that works released by individual circles were the ones with titles starting with "R." However, I've never actually looked into it officially, so I'm not completely sure.

Before voice works became widely available online, I used to buy them on CD. They took up a lot of space, so storing them was quite a challenge.

Thank you for your answer! Now I don't really get what's the diff between the commercial ones and doujin ones haha 🤣🤣
It's so cool to see storing the real cds! A real collector👏

Already explained but will added about BJ code is more like the titles were official label, usually it used for all ages and rated, and yes official label usually sell their works on pokedora and stellaworth bc back then they still using CD format. But since then, they decided to changed it into download platforms and also expanding their works in DLsite (idk if official labels also sell their works in lovecul, just know some of doujin circles moved there)
