What will you choose: 2D or 3D graphics in otome?

I think both have their own merits! 2D will always have a special place in my heart for that nostalgic, beautiful anime look. However, 3D games offer a whole new level of immersion and interaction that 2D just can't match. At the end of the day, I definitely prefer 2D.

I don't mind 3D, but I've always liked 2D better, not just in games, but in movies too. I guess I'm a little old-fashioned? lol (3D games also take up way more space, and I don't think it's worth it)

I like both and have no problem with either, but if I had to choose, I prefer 2D and would go with that.
That said, I wouldn't rule out playing a 3D game just because it's 3D.

I've never played any 3D otome games, but lads feels strange to me? I don't know, it's kind of realistic, but also not... I really prefer 2D.

2D all the way for me. the 3D still feels strange, I think i will always prefer 2D. Though maybe more animations could be good for ex. a specific scene, like the blinking, they could expand it a bit perhaps. But overall 2D fits the genre way more for me!

I prefer 2D as well!
Since otome game mostly Visual Novel, it works more in 2D.
But, I also open and want to give a try for 3D otomes, like Silent Whispers hehe

In term of experience i think i prefer 2D over 3D just because i never played any 3D otome game. I was there because love and deep space's release and i didn't really felt hyped by the game, not because i disliked the designs but more bc the "otome game" was mixed with a naughty gacha system making to some players and probably the company behind it a bigger focus than it…i'm not against 3D i just sadly didn't have any good impression with the ones i saw being released

It's less about 2D versus 3D and more about whether you prefer an illustrated or anime-style look versus a realistic one, right?
When it comes to photorealistic 3D games, there's really only *Love and Deepspace* at the moment, so there aren't many options. Even the photorealistic games set to be released in the future tend to look quite similar, so I'm hoping we'll see more variety in the graphics. I was truly impressed when I first saw *Toraware no Palma*, so I'd love to see a new series like that come out.
