3D is gorgeous 2D is classic and less expensive to produce. Not to mention easier to run. I do think 3D otome games are really pretty though 
but I think I prefer 2D because they're less janky. I've played LADS on 3 different devices, including an emulator. All of the devices exceeded the specifications needed for the game but it'd still lag and glitch out from time to time.
