What is the one feature you wish EVERY SINGLE otome game had?

for me its honestly insane that there are still otomes without the mc sprite on screen i swear its such a simple feature but it feels so essential to the experience i even think its more important than having a voiced mc

Minimizing the window to a smaller size is necessary for me because ports from Switch to PC (Bustafellows) or games built using the Unity engine do not always have a window reduction feature. It would help me to play the game even during the shift

I love love love the voiced mcs and canon mc name being voiced adds more to the scenes.

Also, though i doubt it would ever be implemented I wish that there was like a flowchart style where you can select the choices you want and it would take you to that ending immediately. As a completionist it's really tedious to be going through the same thing over and over again just to have a diff ending with some diff scenes sprinkled here and there

I really like the flowchart feature—it's so handy. It means I don't have to check walkthrough sites.

voiced MCs with side portraits. it just makes the gameplay better. but this is very rare, especially on darker themes. imagine virche and EiT having voiced heroines TT
 
a canon name, MC sprites and a voiced MC are always bonus points for me!! i think having them voiced brings out more of their personality and i wish otomeges would have it more often!

the skip to unread/choice button!!!
Saaaame! Especially with longer games, where I'm just trying to get through the common route (I'm looking at you, Code:Realize) or trying to get another ending, it's boring having to set it onto skip mode and wait for the next choice. Since I go into games blind and only follow a walkthrough to get other ends, it means I don't have all the saves set up already.

A skip to next choice button when otomes have its such a breeze to either get a new ending or rushing through common route.
 
Some games don't have a "Jump to Next Choice" option ,as someone who plays the Japanese version, when i go to English version to replay the route of my favorite character who's locked by another routes ,it takes so much time to reach to it without " jump to next choice" option

i really appreciate when vns have the feature to change the volume or turn off all sorts of background sounds completely!
also, i wish more games had the feature of saving separate voice lines for all characters. i wanna be able to go to the menu and listen again to a line a character said somewhere once in the whole story.

Related to the feature of saving voice line. I wish that there were otome games that allow you to edit your save file name!! I think I came across 1 (accdg to my vague memory). I want to know which save file correspond to what route and ending. I think Itll be great too for saving particular scenes or lines.
 
Probably a flowchart, similar to the one in Virtue's Last Reward. Perhaps not right from the start of the game, but after, say, completing it once. It would certainly be helpful in a game with lots of choices or sections that repeat across different scenarios.
 
this is a small one but i really like animated sprites for LIs which i'm at least glad seems to be common in new otomes ... but now when i play older ones i'm invariably disappointed when they can't blink and talk :')
 
I wish they would highlight your choices if you picked it before for second playthroughs. Just so you know you already did the option.
 
I really like when games have flowcharts, something about it scratches my brain in a good way. Next best thing is to skip to the next choice or something to help with repeated playthroughs.

I would like to have a skip to the fastest option, a flowchart where I can select flag states, and voice saving functionality. It was painful to have to replay Olympia Soiree just to keep the affection levels low.

A "skip to next choice" option, some games have it, but it's a minority. Sometimes I forget to save and then I have to play it over again

The other day, I encountered a game where I couldn't change the text speed. I had assumed that this was a standard feature in visual novel games.
It is also necessary to have a feature that allows changing the text speed. Especially the feature to display all text at once is a must!
