What do you think about mini-games in otome?

I have mixed feelings about minigames
Some of them have puzzles that are pretty difficult, so I end up looking up guides for help.
But the minigames are cute, though

When it comes to bonus mini-games, I'm in the camp that thinks they're unnecessary because they're usually either too easy or not fun enough, which ruins the immersion.
If I want to play mini-games, I'll look for them in other games; I just want to focus on reading.

I prefer reading purely immersive novels based on plot. Because I enjoy following the storyline of the game to experience it, the process is more focused. If some mini games are added, it will distract my attention and prevent me from experiencing the game plot better. I really enjoy playing pure plot games. I am not tired of playing pure plot games and have a more immersive experience. However, mini games are a bit exhausting for me, and I am more focused on experiencing the game's storyline.

I've played Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 6 DX, and it has a pretty substantial battle system rather than what I'd consider a minigame. Combat actually makes up a big part of the gameplay. When I first played it, I had a lot of fun with the battles. But after replaying the game multiple times to go through different routes, they started to feel a bit exhausting, and I eventually found myself playing them on autopilot lol.

So I think minigames are fun as long as they don't have too much impact on progression. If they're a major part of the game, I can see them becoming a little tiring on second or third playthroughs, especially when I'm replaying mainly for the story or a different LI.
