What are your thoughts about otome games with multiple protagonists?

It can be fun! The only two games I've played that did something like that are Norn9 and an indie called Trouble Comes Twice. In the latter you could choose to play as either one of two twins, Jace or Hazel, and romance all the 4 Ros as either. It was really interesting how a different MC could bring out different sides of the Ros, and seeing all the different dynamics between characters.

I haven't played many games with multiple protagonists, so I can't say for sure, but personally, I prefer games that feature just one main character.

I don't really care for them because I usually get attached to only one protagonist, so the other pov feels like a drag.

I'm actually fine with both single and multiple protagonists, each has different dynamics and experiences for me. For the single protagonist games, I went through A LOT of otome games and I'd say it's classic to see the protagonist's behaviours or personality swifts between different MLs; sometimes it's appealing to me, and sometimes it's not.

For multiple protagonists games, I had went through NORN 9 and Shiro to Kuro no Alice......BUT the initial reasons I play those games where not about having multiple protagonists......for NORN9 it's because Ono Daisuke is there as Azuma Natsuhiko; and for Shiro to Kuro no Alice I was diving in for UMEHARA YUICHIRO!!!

I'd say......having multiple protagonists is quite interesting cause we get to see the expansion of the story from different angles and different characters, like while this event happens here for MC 1, there's another event happening for MC 2 and 3. Then when the story finally pieces up all the puzzles together, that's when it gets more interesting

I think its fun to have multiple protagonists. I think the only games I played with this was Norn9 and Ayakashi Gohan (not really a different protagonist but a diffirent personality). In Norn9, it was interesting to see each protagonist's perspective of the world and experience difference romance dynamics. I definitely had a favored protagonist but I liked them all. I would love to have more longer games like Norn9.

I love it, especially when there are a lot of LIs. If there are more than 6, I prefer them to be split up like Starry Sky. But if they're in the same game, I prefer having multiple protagonists like Norn9. I don't mind having multiple protagonists or a single protagonist with a different personality depending on the path you choose, like in Ayakashi Gohan.

I enjoy all types~

i love it!! i feel like it really helps expand on both story and world, since you get to see it from a different pair of eyes ❤️

I honestly haven't played one like this yet, but I'm kind of worried that I might end up thinking that one love interest would suit the other heroine better or something like that? I'm pretty particular about my favorite pairings in otome, and even when looking at HanaKare, I found myself thinking that maybe this character design would suit the other heroine better. And that's despite the fact that I have no idea who they are as characters or what happens in their routes, so it's all purely based on my own aesthetics. Having said that, I definitely prefer games with just one heroine.

I don't mind! You get to have unique plotlines with multiple heroines which is a treat but there's just one thing I have a slight issue with. I tend to think of what ifs when an otome has more than one heroine, like what would it be like if this heroine is paired up with this LI (but his route is only available with the other heroine)

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the title was Norn9—its setting is really captivating, and I think the way each character is paired with their corresponding love interest fits them perfectly. I really like how it's arranged

I love it and wish we have more of it! I'm currently playing Hanakare and honestly I'm having a blast so far even though I'm only on my second route. It's so fun to see things in a different perspective since each MC has their own experiences and beliefs which I feel like it makes each route much more unique in experience and narrative
