Thought hard about your question, and found I actually don't know what I'd like to see in a game. Things I like were good in one place and bad in the other, it almost completely depends on the writing quality, not the theme itself.
Creating a game based on people preferences is hard. We often want different things and expect to see different things in a product. But creating things you like is much easier. You probably aware of your weaknesses and strengths, so I think you will make a better game if you just do what you enjoy yourself. Hope someday see the result of your work
