Rescuer syndrome

I get the feeling that sometimes psychological trauma is exaggerated by fan communities who really love stories about trauma, making them seem more like the trauma real people experience. Even if a guy is naturally a demon who loves doing evil things just because of who he is (if it's canon), not because of trauma per se.
Well, here's my two cents: lots of trauma -> lots of talk about real trauma -> the balance of escapism is shattered
If the story does this skillfully by weaving the plot together without going too far - It's OK

I've heard one opinion that girls are tired of comforting guys in relationships, and that they're looking for games where someone will comfort them instead. And this is a common rescue pattern that can indeed be quite tiring.

I have met that when playing the game "Devil Lover", the male protagonist is all sadistic: mentally unstable and emotionally reacts. I'm so lazy that I don't eat or drink and need help. I sleep in the room all day long. When he gets angry, he scolds and breaks the furniture. There are also those who seem to abide by the rules normally, and a mistake will be punished.

I don't know whether it's to fall in love or to be a psychotherapist...

I met it only in one game, but story was made really good, and I did not even have a desire to stop playing. But I understand you, sometimes I wonder how this character lives in such difficult situation
