Because in the time it takes for this artist to create a completely original work, another copy-paste artist could create two or more works.

I personally got fed up with KK stuff since the times when people were just uploading clips of different characters getting banged in KK with the game's UI and the most basic scenes.
At least today there is no more game's UI, but the concept remains the same: different characters, same move sets...

Low effort aside, the worst part of KK in my opinion is the koikatsu-face. The vast majority of models and animations have the same puzzle piece features in an extremely distinguishable style that is frankly not very good with faces. The flat, generic koikatsu face with canned facial expressions is instantly recognizable. I've seen some animations where the models have better faces and effort is put into their expressions, though like you said - the majority of them don't.
