Excalibur is not the source of magic of invulnerability, it is in fact the scabbard of Excalibur that grants the wielder eternal youth and Elfen Magic Protection. So having Gilgamesh's "Original" Caliburn doesn't give you any invulnerability, you can still be killed by Excalibur the Sword of Promised Victory, as this sword will kill enemy instantly.
