according to my 'understanding':

old man : father of noel, one the heroines. he is a marquess, some high ranking royalty and president of big co. he believes(or dont in this case) girls should just grow up and marry into another family for happiness. but noel chooses to go joust and become a knight, something he doesnt want. he love his daughters, but doesnt know how to express his feelings.

cool dude : older brother of the girl in my sig. no. 1 knight in the country, very elitist. target of fondness for his skills, looks by many. the protaganist's former teacher in joust.

feel free to correct, i am more unsure for the old dude. if you can spell out their names, it will be great. thanks~

More or less correct for the old dude. He is super strict, has a strong presence/aura and focus on family traditional values. Stuff like that, you get the gist of it.

Cool dude: skillfull, popular among dem gurls, good family background. Victory is the 1st for him, is the type of person who focus on the results.
