Highschool DxD, eh? That sure brings back some memories. I can't be bothered to wait for the full adaptation, so I just jump straight into the manga. If season 5, I hope the team that involved in the production of season 2 to do it, because their artworks are relatively exquisite about characters appearance especially Rias and Akeno.

4 is a strangely fitting number for a failed season, to those raised in Sinosphere culture. I'm not too good with reading vertically, so I've been avoiding the original LN and opt for the manga instead. However, I must say that I'm curious on how it differs from the source material. Due to resource constraints, it's not uncommon for some things to be omitted in an adaptation.Yes, the anime shines even now. I can't wait to watch season 5 so I'm going to read the novel. Though I ignored the hell named season 4 lol.
As far as I know, the stories order of the anime is slightly different from the original LN, and I'm not sure if it's the same with the manga. According to Wikipedia, some worldview concepts of the source material have been omitted in anime and manga adaptation.4 is a strangely fitting number for a failed season, to those raised in Sinosphere culture. See? This is exactly why I prefer to master a language and read it in its original language, instead. I hate censorship with every fiber of my being. There's not that many sworn translators that specializes in Japanese pop culture, online lingo, or gaming lingo. Therefore, they often hired someone with subpar Japanese knowledge and hired them for cheap. Or worse, they hired amateurs with political agendas (which is a grave sin and betrayal to the principles of translation, which erodes the collective trust placed upon all translators in the market).According to Wikipedia, some worldview concepts of the source material have been omitted in anime and manga adaptation.
I say give season 4 a death sentence and resurrect it under the direction of a new studio.Btw compared to Passione's other animes, season 4 doesn't look like their artworks, but the number 4 has an ironic meaning in Japanese indeed.
The censorship is imposed in many countries, we have no idea about it. As for the problem of translators, you are right. Localisation requires many translators skilled in Japanese, whereas most of them can't even get anime titles done greatly without the official titles but to directly use their Romaji, which is difficult to understand for those who are not familiar with Japanese at all.See? Surely, same here. Although it was sentenced to death immediately when episode 1 on air, but the remake might be impossible. I can't understand why Passione did it this way, it was most likely that they hadn't enough budget for production. Actually Passione is definitely not a low-level team, because The Testament of Sister New Devil that both season 1 and 2 were on air in 2015 can be for reference.I say give season 4 a death sentence and resurrect it under the direction of a new studio.
