And I have another rant I'm sorry:
Yeah, global gacha players noticeably can't even organize boycotts for themselves lol. See Genshin's Natlan controversy for example. A person who tried to organize a boycott was a simp for Ororon or some other character IIRC.
I've seen the global players try to claim that since they spent thousands, therefore they're more rich than CN players (who they think is leeching off their family). They never considered how the economy is different in other countries + currency converters.
Can't go into completely unrelated subreddits without seeing his face, I've seen Valko in the pixel art subreddit (and I was on there for inspiration).
And a bit of my last night was:
> walks into a subreddit for a specific gacha game for tips, advice, and possibly news.
> sees the fucking LADs controversy. wtf. this is unrelated to this subreddit.
> people there are still misinformed about why he was removed (they think it's because CN players found him looking "gay").
> couldn't help myself and tried to explain that there's more to the situation due to the politics and that CN players didn't escalate the situation because they're problematic parasocials and found pixels ugly.
> got downvoted by a hell lot and got ignored, people are still spreading misinformation.
> someone commented to me "well, I get their frustration, but this number was from months ago and they brought it now and escalated the situation so- but they're parasocials and should be made fun of". at least this person was nice and polite even if we don't agree with each other.
> another dude replied to me and claim that CN players admitted to spreading misinfo to get wolf man erased. linked a twitter post made by a non-CN player who posted comments from four random CN players on XHS. i pointed out that it's outright foolish to believe a bunch of randos and that people are making up sources. the replier is still getting more upvotes than me despite what i pointed out.
maybe a was bit aggressive in my wording even I didn't mean to and didn't explain things well enough, but whatever ig the fault is mine for saying things and not ignoring the post lol. But, yeah, people are willing to believe in misinformation and simplifying it despite someone trying to explain things to them.
Really wished wolf man didn't exist or that the company didn't fuck up this badly at least.

there hasnt, which is why they instead try to snatch cn boycott's results for themselves right now w
