Hello,,, I'm relatively new to sites like this one... how do I contribute to the otome community here?
I have PC copies of Blackish House Side A and Z, and I'd like to share them since they're exceptionally HARD to find.
However, I'm not sure if they've already been uploaded here, since I can't check the otome games section until I reach a certain activity rank... and reading through all the threads and rules got a bit overwhelming TT... I'm not even sure if it's okay to post this thread, so (fingers crossed) hopefully I'm not doing it wrong

The key to having access to the DL section and uploading stuff yourself is to participate organically! So just find threads that interest you in the otome section and reply in them :)

It does take some time to get the otome role depending on how often you check the forum (though I've heard that using the chat threads helps since those tend to go faster), but once you're in it's hard to have the role removed unless you do something egregious like spamming in the section non stop JUST to rank up or leaking stuff you grab from the forum.

I remember checking the forum on an almost daily basis while I was trying to secure the role myself, but since then I got busier and have been checking the forum from time to time on more of a weekly basis, and I haven't gotten into trouble. A month of relatively "active" participation seems to be the average to get in from what I've seen!

As for the games in question, even if the games you want to upload could already have a thread, I think that in general it's still good to hold onto them just in case one day there's a reupload request. I'm not too sure how the specifics for reuploads work since I've only uploaded one game myself and it was an original upload, but hopefully someone more used to them chimes in as well to clear that up.

In all cases, good luck on the otome role grind!

Tysm kind Bikachu TT<3!!! I'll try my best to stay active,,, hopefully I can get in soon!

I actually used to have a lot of games stored on my PC, but I recently had to get it repaired and when I got it back all of my data had been wiped (what a disaster TT) I'm still devastated about losing all of my games, especially since most of them were relatively rare and hard to find around the internet......

So as I slowly rebuild my game library again I thought it would be best to keep them safe and sound somewhere accessible where others who are struggling to find them can hopefully access them too!

Hopefully I can contribute soon TT<3

Oughhhh I feel you, losing files is a data hoarder's worst nightmare and I had that happen once with my previous computer! ;;

I'd really recommend investing in an external hard drive if you don't have one yet. Prices for drives in general are admittedly kinda high with the AI bubble atm, but a drive that's taken care of well can last years if you're lucky with it. My 4-year-old external drive is basically my baby at this point and I'm currently saving money for a NAS set-up so I can have backups and even more data hoarding power LOL

Aaa- you're a genius!! I'm already looking for one rn! Good thing most novel games are relatively small so a 1TB one might last me a good amount of time!

Tho,,, I can't help but feel like having a good cloud storage might actually be better than physical storage atp... but they're all so expensive too TT... I guess hoarding comes with a price...
