Lady is more general. It can be use for single and married women.

how many languages do you speak?

So far, I can only survive with 2 languages; English and Malay.
As for the rest, I only know several lines, mostly from movies or TV shows.
So far my highest achievement is that I able to sing an old Russian waltz, Na sopkakh Man'chzhurii (On the Hills of Manchuria) without reading the lyrics(not in Russian alphabetical characters).

This version was sang by Laila Kinnunen, a Finnish singer.

I also can sing a German song, Erika by reading the lyrics(in Germans alphabetical characters).

*NOTE - It's not a Nazi song. It's a song about a girl named Erika.

As for Swedish, that one I learned frow my Swedish co-workers.

Indonesian (And I'm proud because I can),
Japanese (Same with this one),
Javanese (Traditional language something that's got a label of 'must learn' in my family)
Russian (Just a few words and simple sentence... I visit Russia once...)

You're learned more than I did.
I know what you meant about the 'must learn' language. My dad is a Melanau(one of local tribal in Sarawak) and he did tried to teach me and my sis, but it's a lil' bit too late, coz by that time we already grown up. If he teach us when we were still learning to speak, I would able to communicate in 3 languages - English, Malay and Melanau.
